The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has brought electric ambulances (e-ambulances) under the ambit of the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) program and earmarked ₹5 billion (~$53 million) to support the deployment of 3,800 e-ambulances.
