Jodhpur DISCOM’s tender for 64 MW of solar projects under KUSUM

KPI Green Energy, SAEL Industries, and NLC India have won Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam’s auction to develop 800 MW of grid-connected solar power projects (Phase XX) at the Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat. The developers can avail of a greenshoe option of an additional 800 MW. KPI Energy bagged 100 MW by quoting ₹2.70 (~$0.033)/kWh. SAEL Industries and NLC India won 400 MW and 300 MW by quoting ₹2.71 (~$0.033)/kWh each.

Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam has invited bids for the installation and commissioning of 25 grid-connected solar power projects with a total capacity of 64.48 MW in the Balesar, Dechu, Sekhala, and Shergarh subdivisions of Jodhpur Circle under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan program for feeder level solarization. The projects will be developed under the renewable energy service company model.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 2.25 MW grid-connected solar power project at its Liquid Petroleum Gas bottling plant in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The successful bidder must make necessary arrangements for power drawal at four IOCL locations across Madhya Pradesh through open access and wheeling agreements, including all regulatory permissions and payments of all statutory charges.

Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam has invited bids for the installation and commissioning of 55.72 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in the Baori, Mathania, Osian, and Tinwari subdivisions of Jodhpur Circle under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan program. The projects will be developed under the renewable energy service company model.

Endesa, a Spain-based electric utility company, has signed sustainability-linked financing agreements worth €500 million (~$545.7 million) with Instituto de Crédito Oficial (ICO), a state-owned bank in Spain and the European Investment Bank to finance the development of its 4.8 GW of renewable energy portfolio in the country. A part of the financing operation totaling €300 million (~$327.4 million) from ICO will support the ongoing construction of at least 20 solar projects with a capacity of 2.35 GW and eight wind farms with a capacity of 550 MW— started by Endesa in 2021.

Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has issued the draft update of the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan 2021-2030, increasing the renewable share percentage target in final energy consumption to 48% from the previous 42%. The draft also proposes to increase the target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions from 23% to 32% in 2030 compared to 1990. The country aims to improve energy efficiency in diverse sectors by up to 44%.
