Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) will issue a tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of 44 MW of ground-mounted solar projects at different sites at Singareni Collieries Company, Telangana. The scope of work will also include ten years of operation and maintenance of the projects. The detailed bid documents are yet to be made available by SECI.

JinkoSolar, a solar module manufacturer, announced it has delivered 100 GW of solar modules globally. The company claimed that it was the first to achieve this milestone. JinkoSolar produced approximately one out of every ten solar modules installed globally. The company manufactured modules – Cheetah, Swan, Tiger, and Tiger Pro series have established sales market, and the company also recently launched the new series of ultra-efficient Tiger Neo modules. This mass-produced module delivers a maximum power output of up to 620W and an ultra-high conversion efficiency of up to 22.30%.

Swelect Renewable Energy, a solar power developer and a solar module manufacturer announced the commissioning of its 11 MW solar power project under the group captive user model at Manparai Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District Tamil Nadu. The company had previously executed the power purchase agreement (PPA) in November 2021 with Hatsun Agro Product, Prashanth Fertility Research Centre Private, and Mudhra Fine Blanc Private, the captive users for the sale of solar power for 15 years.

Tata Power announced its collaboration with Rustomjee Group, a real estate developer, to provide end-to-end EV charging solutions across all its residential and commercial projects in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Tata Power will install dedicated charging infrastructure for residents of Rustomjee in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. EV owners will have access to a 24×7 charging facility and maintenance support. They can connect through the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile application for all services, including remote vehicle charging monitoring & e-payments.

The Lazio Region Universities Coordination Committee (CRUL) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) establishing a new partnership aimed at developing joint research on how to boost renewable energy as a key element in the energy transition. The research will focus on bioenergy, geothermal, hydroelectric, ocean, solar, and wind energy to pursue sustainable development, access to energy, energy security, economic growth, and low-carbon prosperity.

Tata Power and Social Alpha, an innovation and venture development firm, announced a partnership to build a unique innovation curation and venture development program, ‘Net-Zero Industry Accelerator.’ The Net-Zero Industry Accelerator will prioritize industries with the highest carbon footprints. It will co-create the innovation ecosystem in partnership with some of India’s leading industry players and technologies that decrease and address air pollution from industrial sources and encourage energy decarbonization, carbon capture, and storage.
