Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (CleanMax) has raised ₹25 billion (~$260.5 million) through green debt securities issued as non-convertible debentures.

The company plans to use the funding for large-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hybrid generation, and battery storage.

The issuance comprises five series with maturity period ranging from two to 10 years and fixed coupon rates ranging from 8.25% to 8.76%.

The International Finance Corporation, the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development, and India Infrastructure Finance Company anchored the issuance. Other participating investors included Aditya Birla Capital, IDFC First Bank, Nippon India Mutual Fund, and select corporate investors.

CleanMax said the secured structure uses a lock-box mechanism and provides fixed-rate, long-term institutional capital alongside equity and project-level debt.

The company has also established a Green Bond Committee to evaluate and address environmental and social impacts associated with projects financed under the framework.

As of June 30, 2026, CleanMax had a contracted renewable energy portfolio of 6 GW. The company said 79% of new contracted capacity came from existing customers.

The company serves about 600 customers across the technology, digital infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Data center and artificial intelligence infrastructure customers account for 42% of its contracted renewable energy power sales portfolio.

The fundraise comes months after  the company raised ₹31 billion (~$340.92 million) through an initial public offering. Ahead of the IPO, CleanMax raised ₹9.21 billion (~$101.27 million) from anchor investors on February 20, 2026, by allocating 8.7 million equity shares at ₹1,053 (~$12) per share.

The company reported revenue from operations of ₹8.32 billion (~$87.21 million) in the first quarter of the financial year 2027, a 107% year-over-year jump from ₹₹4.02 billion (~$42.14 million).

Its revenue from renewable energy power sales rose 47% YoY to ₹5.28 billion (~$55.35 million) from ₹3.58 billion (~$37.53 million). Revenue from renewable energy services surged 632% to ₹3 billion (~$31.45 million) from ₹413.23 million (~$4.33 million).
