Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is a key business hub in the state, offering strong potential for clean energy market growth. With an established reputation as a leading city for residential rooftop solar, Lucknow’s next phase of solar growth could come from the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment.

The expanding market presents significant opportunities for solar manufacturers, solution providers, engineering, procurement and construction companies, installers, distributors, and product suppliers.

As of June 2026, Uttar Pradesh had 12.9 GW of installed renewable energy capacity. Open access is also gaining momentum in the state, accounting for more than two-thirds of utility-scale solar capacity additions in the second quarter of 2026, according to Mercom India’s Q2 2026 India Solar Open Access Market Report.

To bring together stakeholders across the renewable energy value chain and connect them with businesses driving clean energy demand, Mercom India hosts Buyer-Seller Meets across the country. The next Buyer-Seller Meet will be held on October 8, 2026, at Hyatt Regency, Lucknow.

The event will begin with registration from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the inaugural session from 10:35 AM to 10:55 AM.

This will be followed by a case study presentation by Aerem from 11:50 AM to 12:10 PM, led by Deepak Jha, Head (Demand).

After a coffee break from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM, the event will feature a second panel discussion on “Emerging Opportunities in the Distributed and Large-Scale Project Segments” from 12:35 PM to 1:20 PM.
