Singapore-based Blueleaf Energy has commissioned its 300 MW Pachora wind-solar hybrid power project in Madhya Pradesh. The project is positioned as a merchant power model with an annual output of nearly 600 million units.

Valued at approximately ₹19 billion (~$202.19 million), the project is estimated to power more than 550,000 Indian households annually.

The Pachora hybrid project integrates 35 wind turbines, a multi-site solar installation, and a dedicated pooling substationElectricity generated from the project will be sold in the Indian power market through a 15-year power purchase agreement with a domestic power trading company

Blueleaf Energy is owned by the Macquarie Asset Management Fund and operates across Southeast Asia, India, Japan, and Taiwan. The company currently has over 1.3 GW of capacity either operational or under construction.

Its broader development pipeline includes approximately 7.6 GW of generation assets and around 3.3 GWh of energy storage projects, with about 1 GW currently under construction and nearly 310 MW already in operation.

Earlier this year, Blueleaf Energy, in partnership with Universal Peak, was selected by Malaysia’s Energy Commission to build and operate a 100 MW/400 MWh utility-scale battery energy storage system. The consortium bagged the project in an auction with 28 bids, of which 4 were selected.

Last October, the company signed an agreement with the UK-based development finance institution and impact investor, British International Investment, to invest $75 million in India’s energy transition. Blueleaf said it will receive the funding from BII to continue investing in and expanding its renewable energy assets in India. This initiative aims to contribute approximately 2 GW of installed renewable energy capacity in the country.

In the same month, Blueleaf Energy and Noida-based Jakson Green announced the financial close of 840 MW ground-mounted solar projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This capacity comprises a 280 MW and a 560 MW project.
