Southern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh (APSPDCL) has issued an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) tender for 4.36 MW rooftop solar projects on residential buildings under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

Bids must be submitted by May 30, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same date.

Bidders must furnish a bid security of ₹100,000 (~$1,168.21)/MW and a transaction fee of ₹10,000 (~$116.84).

Successful bidders must submit a 5% performance bank guarantee of the total awarded capacity.

The scope of work entails the engineering, manufacturing, procurement, equipment quality assurance, factory testing, transportation, handling, storage, erection, testing, and commissioning of the projects. It also involves conducting all the civil, structural, electrical, and general works.

Selected bidders must provide five years of comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) and obtain grid connectivity for the projects.

All materials used in the rooftop projects must comply with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and APSPDCL’s technical specifications and standards.

Bidders must be empaneled vendors with the MNRE and any distribution company or state nodal agency.

They must have designed, engineered, supplied, installed, tested, commissioned, and performed their O&M duties for a rooftop solar project of at least 1 MW capacity in the last three years. They must have implemented this project for residential, commercial, or industrial consumers.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹10 million (~$116,843)/ MW for at least the past three years. They must have a minimum net worth of ₹5 million (~$58,421.66)/MW of the total quoted capacity.

In November last year, the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh issued an empanelment tender to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems of 1 kW to 500 kW at various locations in Andhra Pradesh under the capital expenditure mode.
