Waaree Solar Americas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, has received an order for the supply of 540 MW of solar modules from a U.S.-based developer of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.

Of the total 540 MW, 270 MW will be supplied by the end of 2025. The remaining 270 MW will be supplied between 2027 and 2028.

The latest module supply order follows two other orders this year from the U.S. market.

Earlier this month, the company had secured a supply order for 599 MW of solar modules, also from a U.S.-based solar developer. It had stated that the modules would be manufactured in Waaree’s manufacturing facility in Brookshire, Texas. The modules are expected to be delivered by 2026.

In April this year, Waaree Energies announced it was expanding its capacity at the Brookshire facility by adding 1.6 GW, bringing the total to 3.2 GW by the end of 2025. The company stated that the expansion aims to create long-term customer value and contribute to the development of a domestic solar supply chain in the U.S.

The company had said at the time that the expansion aligns with its strategy to derisk its global operations by strengthening its presence in key markets. It said the expansion reflects the company’s belief in the U.S. as the next engine of the industrial revolution.

In May this year, Waaree had received an order to supply 586 MW of solar modules for $176 million to a U.S.-based solar energy developer.

Waaree’s module and cell production stood at 2.06 GW in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025, compared to 1.35 GW in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company was among the top solar module suppliers to the Indian market in 2024, according to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025.
