Uttar Pradesh Invites Bids for 7 MW of Net-Metered Rooftop Solar Projects

The projects must be installed within 120 days of receiving the work order

Uttar Pradesh New And Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) has issued three tenders to install 7 MW of grid-connected net-metered rooftop solar projects with battery backup.

UPNEDA can adjust the capacity by up to 25% when placing the contract and during the contract. Bidders must agree to accept these changes to their orders.

Tender 1                                                                                                        

Selected bidders must install 51 kW to 75 kW grid-connected net-metered rooftop solar projects with battery backup for a total capacity of 1 MW.

The projects must be installed within 120 days of receiving the work order.

The last day to submit the bids is February 21, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹3.47 million (~$41,805).

Selected bidders must submit 5% of the project cost as a performance bank guarantee.

Bidders, either through themselves or through resellers, should have supplied the same or similar category services for 30% of the bid capacity in at least one of the last three financial years.

They should have an average annual turnover of ₹52.1 million (~$627,687) during the last three years.

Tender 2

Selected bidders must install 1 kW to 10 kW grid-connected net-metered rooftop solar projects with battery backup for a total capacity of 2 MW.

The projects must be installed within 120 days of receiving the work order.

The last day to submit the bids is February 21, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an EMD of ₹7.11 million (~$85,659).

Selected bidders must submit 5% of the project cost as a performance bank guarantee.

Bidders, either through themselves or through resellers, should have supplied the same or similar category services for 30% of the bid capacity in at least one of the last three financial years.

They should have an average annual turnover of ₹106.7 million (~$1.28 million) during the last three years.

Tender 3

Selected bidders must install 11 kW to 50 kW grid-connected net-metered rooftop solar projects with battery backup for a total capacity of 4 MW.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹687.4 million (~$8.28 million).

The projects must be installed within 120 days of receiving the work order.

The last day to submit the bids is February 22, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an EMD of ₹13.74 million (~$165,537).

Selected bidders must submit 5% of the project cost as a performance bank guarantee.

Bidders, either through themselves or through resellers, should have supplied the same or similar category services for 30% of the bid capacity in at least one of the last three financial years.

They should have an average annual turnover of ₹206.2 million (~$2.48 million) during the last three years.

In January, UPNEDA invited bids for a five-year operation and maintenance contract for 2.921 MW of mini-grid and decentralized distributed generation solar power projects installed on a revenue model basis.
