The Telangana Power Generation Corporation (TGGENCO) has invited bids to prepare detailed project reports (DPR) for solar projects of a cumulative capacity of 57 MW.

The last date to submit bids is November 19, 2025. Bids will be opened on November 20.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹8,332 (~$94).

They must submit a transaction fee of 0.03% of the contract value up to ₹10,000 (~$113) if the quoted value is up to ₹500 million (~$5.6 million), and up to ₹25,000 (~$283) if the estimated value is above ₹500 million (~$5.6 million).

They must also submit a security deposit amounting to 5% of the contract value.

Successful bidders must pay a corpus fund amounting to 0.04% of the estimated contract value, amounting to at least ₹10,000 (~$113) for an estimated contract value up to ₹500 million (~$5.6 million), and at least ₹25,000 (~$283) for a contract value exceeding ₹500 million (~$5.6 million).

The DPRs will be prepared for the following projects:

  • 45 MW of ground-mounted solar projects, comprising a 7 MW project at the mini hydroelectric station at Peddapalli, an 8 MW project at the hydroelectric power station in Nizamsagar, and a 30 MW project at Shakarpally
  • 4 MW floating solar project at Kothagudem Thermal Power Station (KTPS) VII Stage raw water reservoir.
  • 8 MW of rooftop solar projects, comprising a 6 MW project at KTPS VII stage and a 2 MW project at the mini hydroelectric station circle.

The estimated contract value for preparing the DPRs is ₹1.66 million (~$18,792).

Ground-Mounted Projects

The scope of work includes inspection of the site and site elevation to assess the project’s feasibility. It also entails collecting data on multiple infrastructure requirements, environmental aspects, and connectivity for the project.

Successful bidders must also conduct a detailed soil investigation.

They must have provided consultancy services for preparing feasibility studies and DPRs. They must have completed a similar job for at least one grid-connected ground-mounted project anywhere in India in the last five financial years.

Floating Solar Project

The scope of work covers site inspection and conducting a detailed site survey.

Successful bidders must also collect information on water properties, the reservoir’s depth and variations, climatic conditions, and connectivity for the projects.

They must have provided consultancy services for preparing feasibility studies and DPRs. They must have completed a similar job for at least one grid-connected floating solar project anywhere in India in the last five financial years.

Rooftop Solar Projects

The scope of work for rooftop projects includes inspections of rooftops and site assessments.

The successful bidder must design the rooftop system, conduct energy analysis, and verify grid connectivity.

They must have provided consultancy services for preparing feasibility studies and DPRs. They must have completed a similar job for at least one grid-connected rooftop or ground-mounted project anywhere in India in the last five financial years.

Bidders could have completed similar jobs in the following ways:

  • Three similar jobs costing at least 40% of the estimated contract value
  • Two similar jobs costing at least 50% of the estimated contract value
  • One similar job costing at least 80% of the estimated contract value

They must also conduct a shadow analysis for the site and collect radiation analysis for the past 20 years.

Successful bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of at least 30% of the estimated contract value over the last three financial years.

In October 2025, the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana floated a tender to set up 1.2 MW ground-mounted solar projects at the 33/11 kV Nerella substation in Karimnagar district.

In July, Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation invited bids to set up rooftop solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 80.69 MW in 80 villages.
