<p>Here are some noteworthy cleantech announcements of the day from around the world:</p>
<p><strong>LONGi said it </strong><a href="https://en.longi-solar.com/home/events/press_detail/id/291.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>set</strong></a><strong> a new record for being the first solar brand to exceed 20 GW in shipments of solar PV modules in 2020.</strong> In the PV Tech Bankability rankings, LONGi said it was the only AAA-rated module supplier for the fourth consecutive quarter in 2020. This continues to be driven by the company&#8217;s strong track record of being a global 20 GW solar module supplier.</p>
<p><strong>The European Investment Bank (EIB) will </strong><a href="https://www.eib.org/en/press/all/2020-332-eib-finances-siemens-gamesa-s-innovation-strategy" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>provide</strong></a><strong> €300 million to Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), one of the world&#8217;s leading manufacturers of wind turbines, to implement its research, development, and innovation plan during 2020-2023.</strong> The agreement includes a loan of €150 million, which may be extended with another tranche for the same amount next year. The investments will be carried out in SGRE&#8217;s R&amp;D centers in Spain (Navarra, Vizcaya, and Madrid) and Denmark (Aalborg and Brande).</p>
<p><strong>Tata Motors </strong><a href="https://www.tatamotors.com/press/tata-motors-delivers-state-of-the-art-e-buses-to-best-helps-environmentally-friendly-mass-mobility-solution-for-the-city-of-mumbai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>delivered</strong></a><strong> 26 electric buses to Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST).</strong> The delivery marks the commencement of the first-ever gross cost contract electric bus service to BEST. The buses are delivered as a part of the larger order of 340 electric buses from BEST under India&#8217;s FAME II initiative. The rest are lined up to be delivered in a phased manner as per schedule.</p>
<p><strong>Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would come to Gujarat on December 15 to perform the ground-breaking ceremony of the 30,000 MW Renewable Energy Park in the border area of Rann of Kutch. </strong>Rupani said that he would also perform the ground-breaking ceremony of a desalination plant at Mandvi in Kutch, besides the huge solar and wind energy park.</p>
<p><strong>Great Lakes Dredge &amp; Dock Corporation announced that it is </strong><a href="https://www.gldd.com/great-lakes-dredge-dock-corporation-advances-us-offshore-wind-energy-industry-with-decision-to-design-first-jones-act-compliant-purpose-built-vessel-for-subsea-rock-installation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>moving</strong></a><strong> forward with the design and development of the first U.S.-flagged Jones Act compliant</strong>, inclined fall pipe vessel for subsea rock installation. The vessel represents a critical advancement in building the new U.S. offshore wind industry&#8217;s future, including establishing a U.S.-based rock supply chain network spanning eastern seaboard states with active offshore wind leases.</p>
