The retail tariff for industrial consumers was lowered by 6.8% to ₹6.90 (~$0.083)/kWh, while the tariff for industrial consumers was reduced by 13.5% to ₹8 (~$0.096))/kWh. The revised tariff will be applicable from April 1, 2024.</p>

The last date for the submission of bids is March 16, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day. With a portfolio featuring over 1,200 MW in commissioned projects, BHEL proposes to enter the floating and ground-mounted solar power plant business within the CPSU/government Utility segment.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-invites-bids-solar-andhra-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has invited bids to set up a 300 MW ground-mounted solar</strong></a> photovoltaic power project at Ramagiri in Andhra Pradesh. The project is part of the Central Public Sector Undertaking Scheme Phase II, which aims to build 12,000 MW of grid-connected solar projects across the country. Bids for the project must be submitted by March 27, 2024.</p>

The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, testing, installation, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of the solar plants for five years.</p>

Quarterly revenue fell to $115.8 million from $152.8 million. The decline was driven by a 39% year-over-year drop in networked charging systems revenue to $74 million and lower hardware sales to commercial customers in Europe. High interest rates and macroeconomic uncertainty also impacted revenue.</p>

<p>Bids must be submitted by March 27, 2024. Bids will be opened on March 29.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes design, engineering, procurement, testing, installation, commissioning, and comprehensive maintenance of the solar plants for five years.</p>
<p>The selected bidders will also be responsible for the supply of components like solar modules, inverters, module mounting structures, junction boxes, cables, and earthing systems.</p>
<p>WTL has conducted preliminary site surveys and will share the location details with prospective bidders. The successful bidders will have to undertake detailed site assessments and submit implementation plans as part of the technical evaluation criteria.</p>
<p>Bidders must have prior experience in executing similar grid-connected solar projects of at least 500 kW cumulative capacity for government clients. The minimum capacity of each power project must be 10 kW.</p>
<p>Other eligibility criteria include a minimum average annual turnover of ₹250 million (~$3 million) and a positive net worth during any three of the past five financial years. Bidders must have local offices and service centers across zones in West Bengal, valid trade licenses, electrical contractor licenses, and relevant statutory registrations.</p>
<p>An earnest money deposit of ₹2 million (~$24,127) must also be deposited, along with a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the total contract value.</p>
<p>The tender allows participation of bidding consortiums with a maximum of three partners, subject to meeting the qualifying criteria.</p>
<p>Last month, the West Bengal Power Development Corporation <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/west-bengal-invites-bids-solar-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to build a 10 MW solar power project on a turnkey basis along the Teesta Canal bank in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal.</p>
<p>Earlier, it <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/west-bengal-om-tender-10-mw-solar-project-2" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the operation and maintenance of a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project at the Sagardighi thermal power plant in Murshidabad.</p>
