Rainmatter by Zerodha, Momentum Capital, Social Alpha, and angel investors also participated in the round. The company deploys behind-the-meter lithium-iron-phosphate battery systems at commercial and industrial sites. It pairs the systems with a software layer to charge that.</p>
<p><strong>SUNation Energy, a provider of residential and commercial solar energy systems and battery storage solutions, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/suniva-to-merge-with-sunation-energy-in-reverse-merger-deal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> a definitive reverse merger agreement with Suniva</strong>, a U.S.-based manufacturer of monocrystalline silicon solar cells. Under the agreement, SUNation Merger Sub, a wholly owned subsidiary of SUNation, will merge with and into Suniva, with Suniva continuing as a wholly owned subsidiary of SUNation. The combined company is expected to operate under the Suniva name and continue SUNation’s listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market.</p>
<p><strong>T1 Energy, a solar and battery manufacturing company, has entered into a definitive agreement to </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/t1-energy-acquire-kore-power-32m-battery-storage-deal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>acquire</strong></a><strong> KORE Power</strong>, a battery energy storage systems manufacturer, for approximately $32 million. The purchase enterprise value consists of equity, cash, and the assumption of debt at the anticipated closing in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions, including approval by KORE Power shareholders.</p>
<p><strong>Rosendahl Nextrom, a manufacturing company that supplies production equipment to several industries, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/rosendahl-nextrom-acquire-battery-equipment-firm-tbs-engineering/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> an agreement to acquire TBS Engineering,</strong> a U.K.-based provider of battery assembly and plate manufacturing equipment, from Marmon Group. Through its brand BM-Rosendahl, Rosendahl Nextrom provides manufacturing solutions for the battery industry. The company said acquiring TBS Engineering will expand its battery business and strengthen its position in battery manufacturing solutions.</p>
<p><strong>InCharge Energy, an EV charging and energy solutions provider, has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/incharge-energy-raises-46-million-led-by-s2g-investments" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> a $46 million investment led by multi-asset investment firm S2G Investments</strong>, with participation from QIC, a globally diversified investment manager. The funding will support InCharge’s expansion beyond EV charging into broader energy solutions, including electrical infrastructure, distributed energy resources, backed by advanced software and its in-house national service organization.</p>
<p><strong>Adani Energy Solutions has signed a binding securities purchase and subscription agreement to </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/adani-energy-solutions-to-acquire-smart-metering-company-intellismart" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>acquire</strong></a><strong> 100% of the equity in smart metering company IntelliSmart Infrastructure</strong>. IntelliSmart is a joint venture between the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and Energy Efficiency Services with a portfolio of more than 22 million meters deployed across India. The transaction is valued at ₹30.5 billion (~$319.28 million).</p>

<p>The company deploys behind-the-meter lithium-iron-phosphate battery systems at commercial and industrial sites. It pairs the systems with a software-driven optimization layer.</p>
<p>The systems are designed to reduce reliance on diesel generators, shift electricity consumption across tariff periods, lower demand charges, and support electric vehicle charging loads.</p>
<p>Theia Ventures said the funding will support VoltSeal as it builds a distributed battery intelligence platform for India’s commercial and industrial sector.</p>
<p>India added nearly 547 MWh of battery energy storage capacity in 2025, around 26% year-over-year increase from over 433 MWh, as per Mercom India Research’s India’s Energy Storage Landscape 2H and Annual 2025 <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/product/india-energy-storage-landscape-2h-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Report</a>. India’s cumulative installed battery energy storage capacity reached almost 1,082 MWh as of December 2025.</p>
<p>VoltSeal installs modular batteries directly at the C&amp;I sites. The company said each installation functions not only as a backup system but as a controllable energy asset that can store, discharge, and optimize power usage based on real-time conditions.</p>
<p>According to the company, its systems support time shifting, also called energy arbitrage, by storing electricity when power is cheaper or more abundant and discharging it during higher-priced periods.</p>
<p>VoltSeal also said its systems can provide peak shaving by discharging during short periods of high consumption, reducing demand charges for commercial and industrial consumers.</p>
<p>The company said it retains operational dispatch control over every deployed unit as a condition of each sale. This allows VoltSeal to operate the batteries as a network rather than only as site-level backup assets.</p>
<p>As deployments increase, the company plans to aggregate these systems into virtual power plants capable of providing grid-balancing services.</p>
<p>VoltSeal investor Rainmatter had made another energy storage investment <a href="https://zerodha.com/z-connect/rainmatter/introducing-delectrik" target="_blank" rel="noopener">deal</a> earlier this year, investing in Delectrik Systems, a manufacturer of vanadium redox flow batteries.</p>
<p>This interest in energy storage investments can be seen on a global scale, with VC funding raised by energy storage companies in Q1 2026 increasing 9% YoY, with $1.2 billion in 26 deals compared to $1.1 billion in 18 deals in Q1 2025, and a 44% increase in deal count, according to Mercom’s Q1 2026 Funding and M&amp;A for Energy Storage <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/product/q1-2026-funding-ma-report-energy-storage/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>.</p>
