					</table><p><a href="https://kpenergy.in/">KP Energy</a>, Ganeko Three Energy (an SPV of <a href="https://zelestra.energy/en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zelestra</a>), Waaree Forever Energies (a subsidiary of <a href="https://waaree.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Waaree Energies</a>), <a href="https://operaenergy.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Opera Energy</a>, <a href="https://purvahgreen.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Purvah Green Power</a>, Vena Energy Aura( a subsidiary of <a href="https://venagroup.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vena Energy</a>), and <a href="https://www.refex.group/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Refex Holding</a> have won Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (<a href="https://seci.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SECI)</a> auction to develop 1.2 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects across India under Tranche XIX.</p>
<p>KP Energy was awarded 100 MW at a tariff of ₹3.67/kWh (~$0.405/kWh). Ganeko Three Energy, Waaree Forever Energies, and Opera Energy won 180 MW, 300 MW, and 50 MW, respectively, at a tariff of ₹3.68 (~$0.0407)/kWh.</p>

<p>The tender was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-invites-bids-for-600-mw-ists-connected-wind-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> in October last year for a total capacity of 600 MW. In December, the capacity was increased to 1.2 GW.</p>
<p>The projects can be located anywhere in India. The selected bidders must sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI for 25 years.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes setting up the wind projects and establishing the transmission network up to the interconnection or delivery point. It also involves land identification, securing ownership, and obtaining all approvals and clearances from state and local authorities.</p>
<p>The project developers must conduct site selection at their own discretion and cost. Each project must be connected to the ISTS grid at a minimum voltage level of 220 kV.</p>
<p>The scope of work also includes operation and maintenance of the projects for the PPA period.</p>
<p>In June last year, Torrent Green Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/torrent-green-energy-wins-secis-400-mw-wind-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> SECI’s auction to set up 600 MW ISTS-connected wind power projects under Tranche XVIII. Torrent has won 300 MW at a tariff of ₹3.97 (~$0.046)/kWh. Of the 600 MW tendered, only 300 MW were awarded because the eligible bids received were significantly lower than the floated capacity.</p>
<p>Earlier, SECI’s 500 MW wind power (Tranche-XVII) was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/powerica-wins-secis-500-mw-wind-power-auction" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> by Powerica and Adyant Enersol (a subsidiary of Datta Infra). Powerica and Adyant Enersol were both awarded 50 MW at tariffs of ₹3.81(~$0.0450)/kWh and ₹3.82(~$0.0451)/kWh, respectively.</p>
<p>India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/india-records-highest-ever-wind-capacity-additions-at-6-3-gw-in-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a> 6.3 GW of wind power capacity in 2025, an 85.2% YoY increase from 3.4 GW in 2024, according to Mercom India Research. The additions marked the highest annual wind installations recorded in the country. India’s wind power market improved in 2025, supported by higher tender activity, stronger bidder participation, and more competitive tariffs.</p>

					</table><p>Solar Energy Corporation of India (<a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-solar-project-storage-ladakh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SECI</a>) has invited bids to select developers to set up 500 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects (Tranche XIX).</p>
<p>Bids must be submitted by March 17, 2025. Bids will be opened on March 20.</p>
<p>Bidders must pay a document fee of ₹50,000 (~$575) and a bid processing fee of ₹20,000 (~$230)/MW.</p>
<p>They must also submit an earnest money deposit of ₹942,000 (~$10,847)/MW.</p>
<p>Selected bidders must furnish ₹2.35 million (~$27,062)/MW per project as a performance bank guarantee.</p>
<p>They must also pay success charges of ₹100,000 (~$1,151)/MW of contracted capacity to SECI to cover administrative costs, project monitoring, and coordination with state authorities.</p>
<p>Successful bidders must pay ₹0.02 (~$0.00023)/KWh to SECI as payment security mechanism charges.</p>
<p>They must use only commercially established and operational technologies to minimize the technology risk and to achieve timely commencement of power supply from the projects.</p>
<p>They must also use modules listed in the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.</p>
<p>Bidders must have a net worth of at least ₹9.42 million (~$108,478)/MW of the quoted capacity as of the last date of the previous financial year or at least seven days before the bid submission deadline.</p>
<p>They must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹4.53 million (~$52,167)/MW of the quoted capacity during the last three financial years.</p>
<p>Bidders must have an internal resource generation capability in the form of profit before depreciation interest and taxes for a minimum of ₹906,050 (~$10,434)/MW of the quoted capacity as of the last date of the previous financial year or at least seven days before the bid submission deadline.</p>
<p>They must present an in-principle sanction letter from their lending institutions or banks, committing a line of credit for a minimum of ₹1.13 million (~$13,013)/MW of the quoted capacity towards meeting the working capital requirement.</p>
<p>ReNew Solar Power, ACME Solar Holdings, and Adani Renewable Energy Holdings Twelve <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/renew-acme-and-adani-ists-solar-power-auction/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">won</a> SECI’s Tranche XVIII auction to develop 1,000 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects.</p>
