					</table><p><a href="https://www.kolkatapolice.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kolkata Police</a> has invited bids for the supply and maintenance of 200 four-wheeler electric vehicles (EV) with all standard accessories, including regular chargers.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is September 9, 2023. Bids will be opened on September 14.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project, including GST, is valued at ₹440 million (~$5.3 million).</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹9 million (~$108,495).</p>
<p>Companies registered as Small Scale Industries/Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and National Small Industries Corporation/ Cottage and Small-Scale Industries may be exempted from submitting EMD if they furnish documentation to substantiate their eligibility.</p>
<p>The successful bidders must provide a payment amount equal to 3% of the complete value of the work order (excluding taxes/GST) in the form of a Performance Bank.</p>
<p>The delivery of the EVs must be completed within 60 days of the work order issuance.</p>
<p>The bidders should have an annual turnover of ₹250 million (~$3 million) during the previous fiscal year.</p>
<p>They should have experience in the relevant field for at least the last three years. They must furnish records such as work completion certificates/payment certificates for carrying out comparable projects, amounting to ~50% of the estimated project cost.</p>
<p>Bidders should also have an adequate number of technically qualified support personnel within their workforce.</p>
<p>The original equipment manufacturer manufacturing the EVs suggested by the bidders must not have been subjected to blacklisting by any State/Central Government Department or Central/State Public Sector Undertakings.</p>
<p>The contractor must provide a comprehensive one-year warranty and an annual maintenance contract (AMC) for four years for all components.</p>
<p>Following the fulfillment of the comprehensive warranty and AMC term, the Kolkata Police might opt for a new AMC with the supplier. Consequently, the bidder should maintain an adequate spare parts inventory even after the warranty period elapses.</p>
<p>The contractor will be responsible for carrying out repairs and rectifying damages identified during the warranty and AMC period at no additional cost.</p>
<p>Recently Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/nashik-tender-install-20-ev-charging-stations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the supply, erection, installation, and commissioning of 20 EV charging stations.</p>
<p>EV sales in India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/electric-vehicle-sales-q2-2023" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reached</a> 371,340 units in the second quarter of 2023, a year-over-year increase of 66% from 223,293 units.</p>
