<p>The Indian solar sector has witnessed incredible growth since the inception of the National Solar Mission in 2010. The sector went from 0 to 16 gigawatts in seven years with installations doubling the previous two years.</p>
<p>Solar has been the fastest growing new energy source in India this year and yet its impact on the overall economy and job creation is unclear.</p>
<p>As the solar sector grows and meets with occasional challenges, it is extremely important to measure how policies affect the overall industry and job creation.</p>
<p>Mercom India is conducting a survey to bring more light to this topic.</p>
