					</table>Uttar Pradesh has retained the retail supply tariffs for the domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors in the financial year (FY) 2026.
The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (<a href="https://www.uperc.org/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">UPERC</a>) has set energy charges for commercial category power consumers at ₹8.32 (~$0.09)/kVAh at the 11 kV level, and ₹8.12 (~$0.089)/kVAh for above 11 kV and up to 66 kV.

Energy charges for industrial category power consumers have been set at ₹7.1 (~$0.078)/kVAh at the 11 kV level, ₹6.8 (~$0.075)/kVAh for 11 kV and up to 66 kV, and ₹6.4 (~$0.07)/kVAh for above 66 kV and up to 132 kV.
It has also set energy charges of ₹6.1 (~$0.067)/kVAh for above 132 kV.
Open Access Charges
For commercial and industrial consumers, wheeling charges have decreased by 1% year-over-year (YoY), from ₹1.01 (~$0.011)/kWh in FY 2025 to ₹1 (~$0.011)/kWh in FY 2026.

Transmission charges have decreased 15% to ₹0.27 (~$0.0029)/kWh from ₹0.23 (~$0.002)/kWh.
According to developers in the state, the demand for solar open access is <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/solar-open-access-to-gather-steam-in-uttar-pradesh-as-data-centers-mushroom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expected</a> to double over the next three years.
The cross-subsidy surcharge for commercial consumers at the 11 kV voltage level has decreased 1% to ₹1.57 (~$0.017)/kWh from ₹1.58 (~$0.017)/kWh. For commercial consumers procuring power at voltage levels above 11 kV, the cross-subsidy surcharge has reduced by 36% YoY, from ₹2.12 (~$0.023)/kWh to ₹1.36 (~$0.015)/kWh.
The cross-subsidy surcharge for industrial consumers up to 11 KV has decreased by 12% to ₹0.38 (~$0.004)/kWh from ₹0.43 (~$0.004)/kWh.
For consumers at 11 KV and up to 66 kV, and at 66 kV and up to 132 kV, the cross-subsidy surcharge remained the same at ₹0.49 (~$0.005)/kWh and 0.33 (~$0.0036)/kWh, respectively.
For consumers above the 132 kV voltage level, the cross-subsidy surcharge has decreased by 55%, from ₹ 0.31 (~$0.003)/kWh to ₹0.14 (~$0.001)/kWh.
Domestic Consumers
The tariffs for domestic consumers have also been retained at the same level as last year.
Domestic consumers in rural areas with a contracted load of 1 kW and a monthly energy consumption of up to 100 kWh must pay a fixed charge of ₹50 (~$0.55)/kW and an energy charge of ₹3 (~$0.033)/kWh.
If the power category’s consumption exceeds 1,200 units, consumers must pay monthly fixed charges of ₹90 (~$0.99)/kW. They must pay energy charges of ₹3.35 (~$0.036)/kWh at power consumption up to 100 kWh/month, and ₹3.85 (~$0.042)/kWh for power consumption between 101-150 kWh/month.
Consumers with electricity consumption between 151-300 kWh every month must pay energy charges of ₹5 (~$0.055)/kWh, and for power consumption above 300 kWh/ every month, they must pay energy charges of ₹5.5 (~$0.06)/kWh.
For townships, registered societies, residential colonies, and multi-story residential complexes with contracted loads of 50 kW and above, the monthly fixed charges have been set at ₹110 (~$1.21)/kW and the energy charges at ₹7 (~$0.07)/kWh. At least 70% of the total contracted load is intended exclusively for domestic consumers and the Military Engineer Services for defence establishments.
For metered domestic consumers with a contracted load of 1 kW and a monthly energy consumption of up to 100 kWh, the monthly fixed charges will be ₹50 (~$0.552)/kW, and the energy charges will be ₹3 (~$0.03)/kWh.
If the power category’s consumption exceeds 1,200 units, consumers must pay monthly fixed charges of ₹110 (~$1.21)/kW. Power category consumers using up to 100 kWh/month must pay energy charges of ₹5.5 (~$0.06)/kWh.
They must pay energy charges at ₹5.5 (~$0.06)/kWh for power consumption between 101 and 150 kWh/month.
Consumers with electricity consumption between 151-300 kWh every month must pay energy charges of ₹6 (~$0.066)/kWh, and for power consumption above 300 kWh/ every month, they must pay ₹6.5 (~$0.07)/kWh.
