<p>These efforts have involved investing in green technologies, aligning business strategies with climate goals, and collaborating with partners across the value chain to ensure a minimal carbon footprint.</p>
<p>While decarbonization and renewable adoption are good for the environment, corporates and industries can also enhance their competitiveness, resilience, and reputation.</p>
<p>India has set an ambitious goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2070, demonstrating its commitment to tackling climate change and fostering a green economy. To achieve this, India will have to decarbonize its hard-to-abate sectors, with the industrial sector being the key to realizing this.</p>

Additionally, many companies are closely watching the global trade regulations being amended to allow only green imports.</p>
<p>The Indian commercial and industrial segment drove open access connections which saw the country add 2.5 GW in the calendar year 2022, an increase of around 92% compared to the 1.3 GW installed in 2021, the highest-ever annual installations, as reported by the <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-open-access-market-report-q4-2022" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2022 Q4 &amp; Annual Mercom India Solar Open Access Market Report.</a></p>
