The solar business division of Bharat Heavy Electricals (<a href="https://www.bhel.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BHEL</a>) has issued a tender to set up a temporary office at the 50 MW Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (<a href="https://www.mahagenco.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MAHAGENO</a>) solar project site for six months at Osmanabad in Maharashtra.
The last date for submitting bids is October 9, 2021. Bids will be opened on the same day. Bidders must pay ₹36,765 (~$497.86) as earnest money deposit (EMD).
The winning contractor must take all measures to provide round-the-clock services at the project sites as directed by site administration and secure all property within the site premises, for which the contractor’s personnel engaged on duty must remain vigilant.
In case of loss of any item by theft or pilferage, the contractor must take necessary action and comply with the formalities required under the law. The contractor’s personnel are responsible for safeguarding items entrusted to them.
Bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the estimated cost during the last three financial years.
During the last seven years, the bidders must have executed similar jobs at solar or any other power projects in public sector undertakings, central government offices, government educational and training institutions, hospitals, offices, and private sector entities.
Bidders must have completed three similar works costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of each bid value, or two similar completed works costing not less than the amount equal to 50% of each bid value. Alternatively, they must have completed one similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 80% of the bid value.
Bidders who fall under the micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) category or startups will be exempt from turnover and experience criteria.
In July this year, BHEL <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-om-tender-1-5-mw-solar-project-hyderabad/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) of a 1.5 MW solar project at Ramachandrapuram in Hyderabad.
It also <a href="https://mercomindia.com/bhel-floats-operations-maintenance-tender-west-bengal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> another O&amp;M works tender for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company’s 10 MW solar project at Santaldih.
