					</table><p>CIL Navikarniya Urja, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited (<a href="https://www.coalindia.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CIL</a>), has invited bids to commission a 20 MW solar power project along with the associated transmission system in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.</p>
<p>The project should be commissioned within 12 months of receiving the work order.</p>
<p>The successful bidder must also provide operation and maintenance services for the project for five years.</p>
<p>The project’s estimated cost is ₹1.46 billion (~$17.62 million).</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids is March 14, 2023. Bids will be opened on the next day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit ₹5 million (~$60,384) as an earnest money deposit to participate in bidding.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to deposit a performance security amount calculated at 5% of the contract value within 21 days of the letter of award issuance.</p>
<p>In addition to the performance security, retention money of 5% of each running bill will be withheld until final acceptance to ensure the completion of the project.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit the certificate of minimum working capital of ₹291.5 million (~$3.52 million), including access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources to meet the project’s financial requirements.</p>
<p>If the developer fails to complete the work within the stipulated time, 0.5% of the contract price per week of delay, subject to a maximum of 10% of the total value as liquidated damages, will apply.</p>
<p>The power generated from the solar project will be utilized by Bharat Coking Coal for captive consumption.</p>
<p>BCCL has planned to evacuate the power to the nearest DVC substation six kilometers from the project site through a 33 kV line. BCCL will obtain the permission for the evacuation.</p>
<p>The solar power developer should ensure the generation of 37.43 MU of electricity for the first year with a permissible level of degradation of 0.7% for the subsequent years.</p>
<p>The capacity utilization factor should be 21.67% for the first year, with a permissible level of degradation of 0.7% for the subsequent years.</p>
<p>Earlier, CIL Navikarniya Urja had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/coal-india-tender-15-mw-solar-project-madhya-pradesh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to commission a 15 MW solar power project along with the associated transmission system in Madhya Pradesh.</p>
