					</table><p><a href="https://demo1.navalaigroup.in/navalai-infra/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Navalai Infra</a> has secured a 37 MW solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy (MREL), a special purpose vehicle of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (<a href="https://msrdc.in/1307/Home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSRDC</a>).</p>
<p>The project will be executed in three parts: 16 MW will be installed at Igatpuri and 14 MW AC at Kopergaon, both under the open access mode. An additional 7 MW will be installed at various other MSRDC-designated locations under the net metering mode.</p>
<p>The tender was <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/mahasamruddhi-37-mw-solar-projects-maharashtra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">floated</a> in October 2024.</p>
<p>The total value of the financial offer made by the Navalai Infra, excluding taxes and duties, stands at ₹1.69 billion (~$19.84 million).</p>
<p>Navalai Infra will be responsible for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, insurance, installation, erection, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive seven-year operation and maintenance of the solar power project.</p>
<p>The work must be completed within 10 months from the date of the letter of award.</p>
<p>The module warranty terms stipulate a minimum 90% power output at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 20 years, with a mandatory product warranty of 10 years covering modules, inverters, and workmanship.</p>
<p>The project is intended to serve the captive power requirements of MSRDC and its subsidiaries along the Hindu HrudaySamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg.</p>
<p>The project&#8217;s scope includes the development of ground-mounted and rooftop solar installations across various MSRDC-controlled sites, including toll plazas, tunnels, petrol pumps, MSRDC offices, and other infrastructure along the highway.</p>
<p>The scope of work also includes land development, construction of internal roads, fencing, drainage systems, installation of SCADA systems, and establishing transmission connectivity required for both net metering and open access.</p>
<p>Recently, MREL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/mahasamruddhi-invites-bids-for-purchase-of-164-mw-solar-power" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the long-term purchase of 164 MW of solar power under open access from its projects along a highway connecting Mumbai and Nagpur.</p>

Navalai Infra Secures 37 MW Solar EPC Project from Mahasamruddhi

					</table><p>Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy (MREL), a special purpose vehicle of the <a href="https://msrdc.in/1307/Home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation</a>, has invited bids for the long-term purchase of 164 MW of solar power under open access from its projects along a highway connecting Mumbai and Nagpur.</p>
<p>Bids must be submitted by May 23, 2025. Bids will be opened on May 26.</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 (~$5,870), a tender document fee of ₹10,000 (~$117.40) plus 18% GST, and a tender processing fee of ₹50,000 (~$587) plus 18% GST.</p>
<p>Successful bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of ₹3.5 million (~$41,090)/MW of the procured capacity, valid for the entire power purchase agreement (PPA) term.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes purchasing power from MREL&#8217;s solar projects under long-term open access, managing all associated formalities and charges, and adhering to the PPA terms.</p>
<p>Selected bidders must sign a PPA within ten days of the letter of award. They must also provide operation and maintenance services for the time specified in the PPA.</p>
<p>The base tariff for the PPA’s initial five years is ₹3.30 (~$0.0387)/kWh, excluding all open access, transmission and wheeling, cross subsidy, additional, and other statutory charges. The tariff will escalate by 3% every subsequent five years.</p>
<p>The total available capacity of 164 MW is divided into the following categories, with minimum bid submission capacities:</p>
<ul>
<li>5 MW for government agencies, public sector undertakings, and semi-government entities</li>
<li>10 MW for industrial consumers, distribution companies, and licensed power traders (with a 10-year mandatory locking period)</li>
<li>1 MW for commercial customers, listed and unlisted companies, private limited companies, and private institutions (with a 10-year mandatory locking period)</li>
</ul>
<p>Bidders must demonstrate that at least 51% of the total energy generated by the solar project will be consumed directly by them.</p>
<p>Bidders must also demonstrate the ability to participate in energy scheduling and forecasting processes per state and central electricity regulatory guidelines.</p>
<p>Bidders must have a net worth of ₹3.5 million (~$41,090)/MW as of the last day of the preceding financial year. They must also have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹7 million (~$82,180)/MW of the procured capacity for the last three financial years.</p>
<p>In October 2024, MREL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/mahasamruddhi-37-mw-solar-projects-maharashtra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to commission 37 MW of ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects along the Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg, a highway connecting Nagpur and Mumbai.</p>

Mahasamruddhi Invites Bids for Purchase of 164 MW Solar Power

					</table><p>Mahasamruddhi Renewable Energy (MREL), a special purpose vehicle of the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (<a href="https://msrdc.in/1307/Home" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MSRDC</a>), has invited bids to install and commission  9 MW of solar power projects in Washim (interchange 8) and Buldhana (interchange 11) districts of Maharashtra.</p>
<p>The projects will be developed along the 701-kilometer Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to take care of the project&#8217;s operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) for ten years.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids online is October 4, 2022. Bids will be opened on October 6.</p>
<p>Bidders will have to submit ₹470,000 (~$5,883) as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>The contract performance security for the O&amp;M period will have to be furnished in two parts. The value of the contract security performance will be 5% of the absolute value of the O&amp;M contract for each of the two parts; part one will be for the first five years and the second one for the last five years.</p>
<p>The project must be completed within nine months from the award.</p>
<p>The project capacity of 5 MW at interchange 8 is to be divided into two different grid interconnections, i.e., a 2 MW solar project connected to 33/11 kV Belmandal substation, which is at 6.5 km, and a 3 MW solar project connected to 33/11 Kakadshivni substation at 1.5 km from interchange 8.</p>
<p>The project capacity of 4 MW at interchange 11 is to be divided into two different grid interconnections, i.e., a 2 MW solar project connected at 33/11 kV MSEDCL Bhalegaon Panchala substation, which is at 6 km, and another 2 MW solar project connected to 33/11 kV MSEDCL Khandala substation at 4.5 km from interchange 11.</p>
<p>Bidders must have experience as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors or developers designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of not less than 3 MW or higher. Out of which, at least one project should have been of the individual capacity of 1 MW or higher capacity. The reference project should have been operating for at least six months before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>Bidders should have executed at least one electrical substation of 11/22 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 11/22 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers, either as a developer or an EPC contractor. The project should have been operating for at least one year before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>Alternatively, they should have executed an overhead transmission line of 11 kV and above and bay before the bid submission date.</p>
<p>The average annual turnover of bidders should not be less than ₹100 million (~$1.25 million) during the last three financial years. Their net worth as of the last date of the preceding financial year should not be less than ₹50 million (~$625,875).</p>
<p>The modules to be used for the projects must be warranted for peak output wattage, which should not be less than 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years. They should be warranted for at least ten years for material defects and workmanship failures.</p>
<p>In January this year, MSRDC <a href="https://mercomindia.com/eoi-invited-to-develop-120-mw-of-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an expression of interest to develop 120 MW of solar projects on land available along the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg.</p>
<p>Earlier, MREL had <a href="https://mercomindia.com/msrdc-issues-epc-tender-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> an EPC tender to develop a 5 MW(AC) ground-mounted solar project at Bhilkheda in Washim, Maharashtra.</p>
