					</table><p><a href="https://hildelectric.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hild Electric</a>, a manufacturer and deployer of electrolyzers, has been chosen as the Alkaline electrolyzer technology provider for <a href="https://ntpcrel.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC Renewable Energy</a>.</p>
<p>The partnership will see Hild Electric deploying stacks combined with purifiers and separators to offer a solution that can integrate with renewable energy resources and produce green hydrogen.</p>
<p>As per the agreement, these solutions will be deployed up to 600 MW capacity across various industrial applications, including ammonia, transportation, and power.</p>
<p>This initiative aims to support NTPC&#8217;s ambitious goal of producing at least 150 kilotons per annum of green hydrogen by 2032.</p>
<p>Speaking about the collaboration, Hild Electric said, &#8220;Partnering with NTPC Renewable Energy as their preferred technology provider on what is the largest alkaline electrolyzer deal in India is an incredible breakthrough.&#8221;</p>
<p>In April last year, NTPC Renewable Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-invites-bids-from-electrolyzer-technology-providers" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a notice for upcoming tenders to select electrolyzer technology providers to participate in green hydrogen tenders for two years.</p>
<p>The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ministry-175-billion-program-green-hydrogen" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> a framework document outlining incentive programs for the manufacturing of electrolyzers and the production of green hydrogen within the country, with a combined financial outlay of ₹174.9 billion (~$2.1 billion).</p>
<p>The framework document outlines two components of the incentive programs. Component I focuses on providing electrolyzer manufacturing incentives, with an outlay of ₹44.4 billion (~$541.2 million), and Component II aims to support Green Hydrogen production, with an outlay of ₹130.5 billion (~$1.6 billion).</p>
<p>MNRE also <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/draft-roadmap-india-green-hydrogen-ecosystem" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unveiled</a> a draft roadmap outlining the research and development priorities for manufacturing and storing green hydrogen. It aims to promote efficient, safe, and cost-effective hydrogen storage, paving the way for its widespread adoption as a clean energy source.</p>
<p>Recently, the Solar Energy Corporation of India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/seci-rfs-1-5-gw-electrolyzer-manufacturing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a request for the selection of electrolyzer manufacturers for setting up 1.5 GW of electrolyzer manufacturing capacities in India under Tranche-I of the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Program.</p>
