					</table>India’s rated power distribution companies (DISCOMs) <a href="https://mercomindia.com/power-sector-reforms-help-discoms-post-profits-in-fy-2025-for-first-time#:~:text=India's%20rated%20power%20distribution%20utilities,Integrated%20Rating%20and%20Ranking%20Report." target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹27.01 billion (~$294.7 million) in the financial year (FY) 2025, marking a sharp turnaround from a loss of ₹270.22 billion (~$2.95 billion) recorded in FY 2024, according to the Ministry of Power’s 14th Annual Integrated Rating and Ranking Report.
The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) <a href="https://mercomindia.com/rajasthan-regulator-allows-dual-power-connections-for-high-load-consumers#:~:text=The%20Rajasthan%20Electricity%20Regulatory%20Commission,and%20other%20essential%20service%20categories." target="_blank" rel="noopener">approved</a> the introduction of dual-source electricity supply for high-tension and extra-high-tension consumers, including the Public Health Engineering Department, data centers, and other essential service categories.
The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission <a href="https://mercomindia.com/oerc-issues-draft-rules-on-grid-support-charges-for-captive-generators" target="_blank" rel="noopener">proposed</a> a structured framework for levying grid support charges on captive generating projects operating in parallel with the state grid. The Commission has invited stakeholders to submit their views and suggestions by February 23, 2026, after which the draft ‘Grid Support Charges for Captive Generating Projects Regulations, 2026,’ may be modified and finalized for publication in the Official Gazette.
A toll plaza in Karnataka <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/hejamadi-toll-plaza-in-karnataka-showcases-hybrid-renewables-for-highways" target="_blank" rel="noopener">installed</a> a wind-solar hybrid renewable energy system, demonstrating the potential of decentralized hybrid models for highway and transport infrastructure where uninterrupted power is critical for lighting, surveillance, and electronic toll operations. The system was commissioned at the Hejamadi toll plaza on National Highway 66 in the Udupi district by Hyderabad-based Windstream Energy Technologies.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/bhel-tenders-1-3-mw-of-solar-projects-in-uttar-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a tender to set up 1,300 kW of solar projects in Jhansi and Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The total capacity comprises 800 kW at the BHEL Transformer Plant in Jhansi and 500 kW at the BHEL Heavy Equipment Repair Plant in Varanasi. Bids must be submitted by February 6, 2025.
Military Engineer Services <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/military-engineer-services-floats-om-tender-for-1-mw-solar-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 1 MW solar power project at Air Force Station in Gwalior. The last date to submit the bids is February 13, 2026. Bids will be opened on February 20.
Engineering Projects India <a href="https://mercomindia.com/epi-issues-empanelment-tender-for-solar-epc-projects-across-india" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> expressions of interest to empanel experienced agencies as joint venture, consortium, associate, or back-end partners for upcoming solar engineering, procurement, and construction projects across India.
Telecommunications Consultants India <a href="https://mercomindia.com/tcil-invites-bids-for-2-mw-rooftop-solar-bess-project-in-mauritius#:~:text=The%20last%20date%20to%20submit%20bids%20is%20February%205%2C%202026,from%20the%20bid%20submission%20deadline." target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the installation of grid-connected hybrid rooftop solar systems with a cumulative capacity of 2 MW, including a battery energy storage system (BESS) of 1 MWh (if applicable), on the island of Rodrigues in Mauritius
V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority <a href="https://mercomindia.com/chidambaranar-port-authority-invites-bids-for-8-mw-wind-project-with-bess" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of an 8 MW wind project with a 5 MWh BESS. The last date to submit the bids is February 16, 2026. Bids will be opened the following day. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the project for eight years.
Power Grid Corporation of India <a href="https://mercomindia.com/powergrid-invites-bids-to-set-up-500-mwh-bess-in-tamil-nadu" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> tenders to set up 25 MW/100 MWh and 100 MW/400 MWh BESS projects across Tamil Nadu. These projects will receive viability gap funding support. These tenders are associated with the invitation to select partners for setting up 375 MW/1,500 MWh standalone BESS projects across seven locations in the state.
Solar energy solutions provider Fujiyama Power Systems (UTL Solar) <a href="https://mercomindia.com/fujiyama-commissions-1-gw-solar-cell-facility-in-uttar-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the commissioning of a 1 GW solar cell manufacturing facility in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. The facility, which will manufacture Mono PERC Domestic Content Requirement solar cells, has been developed with a total investment of ₹3 billion (~$32.7 million).
Adani Green Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/adani-greens-q3-revenue-rose-21-yoy-on-high-capacity-additions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> a revenue of ₹24.2 billion (~$263.63 million) in the third quarter (Q3) of FY 2026, a 21% year-over-year (YoY) increase from ₹19.93 billion (~$217.11 million). Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) stood at ₹22.69 billion (~$247.18 million), up 23% from ₹18.48 billion (~$201.31 million) in the same quarter of the previous year.
Solar module and cell manufacturer Premier Energies <a href="https://mercomindia.com/premier-energies-revenue-surges-13-profit-up-53-4-in-q3-fy-2026" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> a revenue of ₹19.36 billion (~$211.4 million) in Q3 of FY 2026, a 13% YoY increase from ₹17.13 billion (~$187.1 million). Profit after tax rose 53.4% to ₹3.92 billion (~$42.8 million) from ₹2.55 billion (~$27.9 million) in the previous year. EBITDA for the quarter rose 13.3% to ₹6.23 billion (~$68.1 million) from ₹5.5 billion (~$60.1 million) in the same quarter last year.

The Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (<a href="http://www.kseb.in/index.php?lang=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">KSEB</a>) has floated a tender for the manufacturing, supplying, drawing, testing, and commissioning of 8 km of 33 kV double circuit feeders.
The double circuit feeders are required with a 33 kV covered conductor on specially designed A-poles from the proposed 50 MW solar park at Paivalikae to the 110 kV substation at Kubanoor under the transmission circle of Kannur in the state of Kerala. The project will be executed on a turnkey basis.  The work needs to be completed by June 30, 2020.
The last date for the submission of bids is March 13, 2020, while the opening date for the pre-qualification of bids is March 16, 2020.
Interested bidders need to submit a sum of  ₹500,000 (~$6,790) as the earnest money deposit (EMD) and ₹17,700 (~$240.37) as the bid submission fee.
To bid for this project, interested bidders should have three years of experience in manufacture and supply of extra high tension (EHT), or high tension (HT) covered conductor and accessories, and at least a one year experience in the erection of high tension lines.
Apart from the commissioning of the double circuit feeder, the scope of work will also involve engineering, stage inspections, and delivery of materials with all the accessories and equipment. The successful bidder will also be responsible for the supervision of the erection and commissioning of the work.
Kerala State Electricity Board Limited will be the implementing agency of the project.  According to the KSEB, the supplier should send four sets of certified general outline drawings, technical details, and instruction manuals within a week of placement of the order.
To qualify, the applicant should be an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or their joint venture. The offered equipment needs to be designed, manufactured, and tested as per the Indian Standards/ International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
In February 2019, the Solar Energy Corporation India Ltd. (SECI) <a href="https://mercomindia.com/seci-solar-tender-50-mw-kasargod-park/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">issued</a> a tender for setting up 50 MW of solar PV projects at Kasargod Solar Park in Kerala.
Previously, it was reported that Kerala plans to develop 1,000 MW of solar projects <a href="https://mercomindia.com/kerala-tenders-1-gw-solar-soura-program/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">under</a> the SOURA program.  The SOURA program is to be jointly implemented by Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) and Agency for Non-conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT), the state nodal agency for renewable projects. The program involves 500 MW rooftop solar, 200 MW of ground-mounted solar, 100 MW of floating solar, 150 MW of solar park, and 50 MW of canal top solar projects to be installed by 2022.
