ACWA Power, a developer, owner, and operator of power generation projects, along with the Water and Electricity Holding Company (Badeel), a wholly owned company of PIF, and Saudi Aramco Power Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aramco, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/acwa-power-consortium-secures-financing-for-15-gw-renewable-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> $8.2 billion in financing. The funding will be used to develop seven giga-scale projects, comprising five solar projects and two wind energy projects, with a combined capacity of 15 GW.
Premier Energy, an integrated energy provider in Southeastern Europe and a listed company on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/premier-energy-acquires-400-mwh-battery-storage-project-romania/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">acquired</a> a 100% stake in a ready-to-build battery energy storage project with a planned power input and output of 200 MW and an energy storage capacity of 400 MWh. The company plans to begin the construction of the standalone battery energy storage facility in 2026, with commissioning expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
JP Energie Environnement, a French independent renewable energy producer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/jp-energie-environnement-secures-496-million-for-solar-and-wind-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a €430 million (~$496 million) refinancing for its solar and wind projects. Bpifrance, CIC, Société Générale, and Crédit Agricole Transitions &amp; Energies, alongside the banks of the Crédit Agricole Group, arranged and financed the transaction. The refinancing covers 25 solar projects and 19 wind projects (including one under construction), with a total capacity of 427 MW.
Nofar Energy, an Israeli renewable energy company listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/nofar-energy-secures-financing-for-531-mw-solar-project-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a €192 million (~$223.05 million) financing package for the development and construction of three solar projects totaling 531 MW in southeastern Romania.

<a href="https://evcil.com.tr/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Evcil Group</a>, a Turkish engineering-and-energy company specializing in electrical contracting, renewable energy (especially solar), and construction/engineering services, acquired a portfolio of three solar projects with a combined capacity of 15 MW located in Romania, from an undisclosed seller.
Of the three solar projects acquired, two are already operational, while the third is in the ready-to-build stage and has obtained all necessary building permits to begin construction.
The completion of the transactions is subject to customary regulatory approvals. The company did not disclose financial details of the acquisition.
Law firm Dentons advised Evcil Group on the acquisition, providing legal support throughout all stages of the project, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, drafting and negotiation of the transfer documentation, as well as signing.
Cristian Popescu from Dentons commented, &#8220;We are pleased to continue our long-standing collaboration with Evcil Group and to support their strategy of acquiring operational renewable assets, a trend that increasingly shapes the Romanian market.&#8221;
In the first nine months of 2025, approximately 29 GW of solar projects were acquired compared to 28.3 GW in 9M 2024, according to Mercom&#8217;s 9M and Q3 2025 Solar Funding and M&amp;A <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/product/9m-q3-2025-solar-funding-ma-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>.
In November 2025, JUWI, a wholly owned subsidiary of MVV Energie AG, signed an agreement with Mirova, an asset management firm and an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, for the <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/juwi-sells-156-mw-solar-project-portfolio-in-greece/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sale</a> of the 156 MW Clover solar project portfolio in Greece. The Clover solar portfolio, developed by JUWI Hellas, comprises four projects located in the regional units of Kozani and Grevena in Northwest Greece.
