<p><strong>DSD Renewables, a provider of customized solar PV energy and energy storage solutions, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/dsd-renewables-secures-238m-for-distributed-generation-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the closing of $238 million in financing to support the development of 233 MW distributed generation solar</strong> projects. First Citizens Bank’s Energy Finance business acted as co-lead arranger and administrative agent on the deal. Nomura and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group acted as the co-lead arrangers. The portfolio comprises 188 distributed generation solar projects totaling 233 MW of renewable generation capacity across 12 states and the District of Columbia.</p>
<p><strong>CleanCapital, an independent power producer focused on distributed clean energy, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/cleancapital-acquires-51-mw-solar-projects-from-greenbacker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of a portfolio of 64 operating solar projects</strong> totaling 51.2 MW from Greenbacker, an energy-transition-focused investment manager and independent power producer. The portfolio is distributed across 13 states in the U.S., including a diverse mix of rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. Most of these projects serve municipal, university, school, and hospital entities, as well as commercial customers.</p>
<p><strong>EDP, a renewable energy power producer, through its 71.3% owned subsidiary EDP Renováveis , has entered into a </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/edp-sells-100-stake-in-190-mw-solar-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>sale</strong></a><strong> and purchase agreement with Prosolia Energy</strong>, an independent power producer, to sell a 100% equity stake in a portfolio of solar projects totaling 190 MWac (229 MWdc). The deal is estimated to have an enterprise value of €0.16 billion (~$0.18 billion). The portfolio, comprising five operating solar projects, is located across the regions of Andalucía and Castilla y León in Spain.</p>
<p><strong>Orrön Energy, a renewable energy company, entered into an agreement with Saxovent Renewables, a renewable energy project developer, to </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/orron-energy-sells-76-mw-solar-project-in-germany/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>sell</strong></a><strong> a 76 MW solar project in Germany</strong>. The project, being developed as an agrivoltaic project, is located in the northeastern part of Germany. The transaction is valued at up to €4 million (~$4.6 million), including an up-front consideration of €2 million (~$2.3 million).</p>
<p><strong>ENCAVIS, a solar and wind project developer, announced the </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/encavis-acquires-199-mw-solar-and-wind-project-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>acquisition</strong></a><strong> of a 199 MW solar and wind project portfolio located approximately 40 km outside Zaragoza,</strong> in the Aragon region of Spain, from BayWa r.e., a renewable energy project developer. The portfolio includes two solar projects totaling 57 MWp and three wind projects with a combined capacity of around 142 MW.</p>

<p><strong>Recurrent Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar and a utility-scale solar and energy storage project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/recurrent-energy-secures-financing-liberty-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>closed</strong></a><strong> project financing</strong> for its 134 MW (100 MWac) Liberty Solar project. The project is under construction in Liberty County, Texas, and is expected to reach operations in 2024. Rabobank, Nord LB, and U.S. Bank will provide construction debt, a letter of credit facility, and a term facility totaling $120 million. U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance, a subsidiary of U.S. Bank, will provide the tax equity totaling $80 million.</p>
<p><strong>Southern Power, an electric utility subsidiary of Southern Company, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/southern-power-acquires-solar-project-200mw-texas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>acquired</strong></a><strong> the 200 MW Millers Branch solar project from EDF Renewables</strong>. The solar facility is currently in the early stages of development and has the potential to expand up to 500 MW. The project is located in Haskell County, Texas. Southern Power will lead the continued development and construction of the Millers Branch, which is expected to achieve commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2025.</p>
<p><strong>Cubico Sustainable Investments, a London-based renewable energy developer and asset owner, has </strong><a href="https://www.prnewswire.co.uk/news-releases/cubico-sustainable-investments-acquires-121-mw-of-wind-and-solar-in-uruguay-301936150.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>completed</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of three operational projects</strong> in Uruguay from Brookfield. The transaction comprises two wind projects, 52 MW Carape I and 43 MW Carape II in Maldonado, and one solar photovoltaic project, 26 MW Alto Cielo in Artigas.</p>
<p><strong>Renewable energy company Enfinity Global has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/enfinity-boosts-renewable-solar-asset-acquisition-in-us" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of 546 MW of solar assets under development in Colorado</strong>, United States, from the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm CS Energy. The acquisition encompasses three solar projects in Colorado, a region with a mandate to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2050.</p>
<p><strong>DSD Renewables, a solar and energy storage solutions provider, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/dsd-acquires-community-solar-portfolio-in-minnesota/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>acquired</strong></a><strong> a community solar portfolio totaling 15 MW in Minnesota from New Energy Equity</strong>. The construction of the four solar projects is already ongoing and is slated to start at the remaining five sites by the end of 2023. Completion of the entire portfolio is expected by 2024.</p>

<p><strong>Grenergy, a solar, wind, and storage project developer, has agreed to </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/grenergy-sells-solar-project-spain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>sell</strong></a><strong> its 150 MW Belinchón solar project in Spain to a European Independent Power Producer</strong>, with the net proceeds from the sale amounting to €83 million (~$90.75 million) (equity value). The deal is expected to be completed before the year-end, subject to the fulfillment of certain conditions. The sale of 100% of its Belinchón solar photovoltaic project is the first milestone of the Valkyria Project, which includes the sale of up to 1.1 GW of solar assets in Spain.</p>
<p><strong>Interogo Holding, an investment unit of the IKEA Group, via its infrastructure investment fund Inter Infrastructure Capital (IIC), has agreed to </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/interogo-holding-acquires-solar-project-portfolio/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>acquire</strong></a><strong> 49%</strong> of a 1,066 MW portfolio of operational and under-construction solar photovoltaic generation assets from BRUC Group. The transaction details were not disclosed. Santander and JP Morgan have acted as financial advisors and Linklaters as legal on BRUC’s side.</p>
<p><strong>SENS, a solar as a service provider company, has agreed to <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/sens-sells-solar-project-portfolio-peridot-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sell</a> a 135 MW solar project in Sicily to Peridot Solar, an international solar project developer</strong>. The 135 MW solar project comprises six sub-projects and is the first of seven planned open-space agri-photovoltaic systems. The entire pipeline will include around 700 MW of photovoltaic output in addition to regenerative energy generation per year.</p>
<p><strong>DSD Renewables, a business backed by BlackRock Real Assets’ Global Renewable Power platform and GE Renewable Energy and a provider of customized solar PV energy</strong> <strong>and energy storage solutions, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/dsd-renewables-secures-funding-us-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> $140 million</strong> in pre-notice to proceed (NTP) credit facilities to support solar projects in late-stage development. The capital will support the continued development of DSD’s late-stage development pipeline, totaling 205 MW across California, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Virginia.</p>
<p><strong>Vena Energy, an independent solar power producer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/vena-energy-secures-green-loan-kasama-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> a JPY16.9 billion (~$121 million) green loan for developing the 53 MW Kasama solar project</strong>. MUFG Bank led the JPY16.9 billion (~$121 million) financing arrangement with co-financing by Joyo Bank in Japan.</p>
