Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer, Solex Energy, has received a work order worth over ₹5.44 billion (~$61.33 million) from the Spain-based renewable energy project developer Zelestra Group to manufacture and supply N-Type TOPCon 615/620Wp glass-to-glass (G12R) solar modules.

The order will be completed in tranches by February and November 2026.

Solex Energy operates a fully automated 4 GW solar manufacturing facility at Tadkeshwar, near Surat, in Gujarat. The facility integrates advanced robotics, precision engineering, and quality systems to manufacture high-efficiency solar modules with power ratings of more than 600 W.

During the financial year (FY) 2026, Solex commenced commercial production of 800 MW at this facility, increasing its total operational capacity to 1.5 GW. It has also launched a 2.5 GW expansion project. The company has planned another 2.5 GW expansion by the end of FY 2026, which will increase its total installed capacity to 6.5 GW.

The company aims to achieve 10 GW of solar module and 10 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity by 2030.

Solex reported a 52% year-over-year revenue growth of ₹4.15 billion (~$46.83 million) in the first half of the financial year 2026, from ₹2.73 billion (~$30.81 million). The growth was driven by expansion across its manufacturing and engineering, procurement, and construction business, an increase in demand across both domestic and international markets, and a rapidly expanding project portfolio.

In May this year, Solex Energy added 767 MW solar module manufacturing capacity under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

The Zelestra Group operates across more than 13 countries, including India, Spain, Italy, Chile, Peru, and the U.S.

Last November, Zelestra (Ganeko Solar) was among the winners of SJVN’s auction to supply 1,200 MW firm and dispatchable power from ISTS-connected renewable energy projects with energy storage systems under tariff-based competitive bidding (FDRE II).
