The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar modules with the addition of 8,797 MW of capacity.

The cumulative solar module manufacturing capacity under ALMM has now crossed the 100 GW mark, reaching 100,232 MW after the latest additions.

Companies that increased their capacity include Mundra Solar PV (Adani Solar), adding 243 MW to reach 2,185 MW. Citizen Solar added 48 MW to expand to 198 MW, and Goldi Sun (Goldi Solar), which added 2,675 MW to grow its capacity to 7,263 MW, recording the single largest gain.

H R Solar Solution expanded its capacity by 38 MW to reach 187 MW, Integrated Batteries India added 191 MW to grow to 284 MW, Novasys Greenergy’s capacity grew by 62 MW to reach 504 MW (62 MW), and Redren Energy increased its capacity by 637 MW to achieve a total capacity of 1,034 MW.

ReNew Photovoltaics added 118 MW to reach 1,884 MW, Vikram Solar saw a major increase of 1,446 MW to reach 2,893 MW, and FS India Solar Ventures expanded its capacity by 221 MW to achieve a total of 3,433 MW.

Avaada Electro’s capacity grew by 146 MW to reach 1,311 MW, and Indosol Solar added 160 MW to touch 632 MW.

The total capacity addition from manufacturers already enlisted was 5,985 MW.

Seven new manufacturers were added to the list. Arkalight Solar entered with 506 MW, MKTEK Solpower India with 46 MW, Onix-Tech Renewable with 56 MW, Avco Power with 185 MW, Northgreen Energy with 29 MW, Matri Shree Techno Industries with 49 MW, and Saatvik Solar Industries of the Saatvik Group with 1,941 MW. These new entries contributed a cumulative capacity of 2,812 MW.

ECE (India) Energies reduced its capacity by 1 MW to fall to 39 MW, and Ganesh Green Bharat (Ganesh)’s capacity declined by 22 MW to 557 MW. The total capacity reduction stood at 23 MW.

In July this year, MNRE expanded the ALMM by adding 742 MW of solar module manufacturing capacity.
