Stride, a Vietnam-based rooftop solar financing platform, has raised $15 million in a Series B funding round to expand solar and battery adoption among households and micro, small, and medium enterprises in Vietnam.
Lightrock and TRIREC co-led the round through the Accelerate7 platform. Existing investors Clime Capital and UOB Venture Management also participated, the company said.
Stride said it will use the funding to scale its platform across Vietnam and enter new markets. The company also plans to strengthen its digital systems and quality assurance processes, expand access to rooftop solar and battery solutions, and support its goal of helping 200,000 more people benefit from clean energy by 2030.
The company said it has nearly tripled its project portfolio since its Series A round, which it closed in March 2025 with Clime Capital, UOB Venture Management, and Vietnam-focused investor Touchstone Partners. In 2023, Stride had secured $2 million in a seed-stage equity capital round from Clime Capital and Touchstone Partners.
It has also expanded nationwide through a network of more than 75 verified engineering, procurement, and construction partners.
Founded in 2021, Stride, through its platform, integrates tailored financing, technology, and quality assurance solutions, helping to make rooftop solar and battery energy storage systems more accessible to residential and small- and medium-enterprise customers in Vietnam.
According to Mercom’s Annual and Q4 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report, Global VC and private equity funding in the solar sector in 2025 totaled $3.5 billion across 75 deals, 22% lower than the $4.5 billion raised in 60 deals in 2024. There were eight VC funding deals of $100 million or more in 2025.
Previously, in 2025, TRENDE, a provider of renewable energy solutions in Japan, announced the completion of a JPY1.07 billion (~$7.2 million) funding round through third-party allocation. The company offers renewable energy solutions in Japan through its solar and battery leasing service, known as Teraris, and its peer-to-peer electricity trading platform.
