Langfang Sol-Bright New Energy will supply its water-free robotic solar module cleaning systems to AMPIN Energy Transition’s 160 MW wind-solar hybrid projects in Rajasthan.

The supply contract entails the provision of both fully automatic and semi-automatic advanced versions of Sol-Bright’s robotic cleaning systems, as well as the installation of 1P Single-Axis Trackers.

The systems are expected to be deployed in the fourth quarter of 2025.

To date, Sol-Bright has supplied nearly 100,000 units of robots for an estimated 40 GW projects worldwide, covering more than 195 solar projects.

Langfang Sol-Bright New Energy was among the top five robotic solar module cleaning equipment suppliers to the Indian solar market in 2024, according to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025 report. The company held an 18% market share.

According to industry experts, robotic cleaning of solar modules is six times more cost-effective than traditional methods. Robotic cleaning is a rapidly growing industry globally, as well as in India. However, a lack of awareness about the technology among solar project developers is still an issue.

Recently, data center company Nxtra Data, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, announced it will procure power from a 13.2 MW solar project in captive mode from AMPIN Energy C&I Sixteen, a special purpose vehicle of AMPIN C&I.

In September this year, AMPIN commissioned a 50 MW open access solar power project in Chhattisgarh’s Bemetara district. The project supplies renewable energy to Texmaco Rail and Engineering. The company is also constructing a 21 MW solar project and developing another 100 MW of renewable capacity in the state.

In March 2025, AMPIN Energy Transition secured an investment of $50 million (~₹4.28 billion) from Siemens Financial Services, the financing arm of Siemens AG. The investment will strengthen AMPIN’s position in India’s renewable energy transition. It will also fuel the company’s growth in commercial and industrial, as well as utility-scale, renewable energy projects.
