Langfang Sol-Bright New Energy has signed a contract with Rays Power Infra to supply water-free robotic cleaning systems for NTPC’s 250 MW solar project in Bikaner district of Rajasthan.

Under the agreement, Sol-Bright will provide 100% fully automatic, advanced robotic cleaning systems that are specifically engineered for 1P tracker-based solar installations.

The deployment is aimed at improving operational efficiency and maintaining optimal module performance in utility-scale solar projects operating in arid and semi-arid conditions.

The robotic systems are designed to operate without water, supporting sustainable operations and addressing water scarcity concerns that are particularly relevant in Rajasthan.

Commissioning of the robotic cleaning systems is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

In November this year, Langfang Sol-Bright New Energy announced that it will supply its water-free robotic solar module cleaning systems to AMPIN Energy Transition’s 160 MW wind-solar hybrid projects in Rajasthan. The supply contract entails the provision of both fully automatic and semi-automatic advanced versions of Sol-Bright’s robotic cleaning systems, as well as the installation of 1P Single-Axis Trackers.

Sol-Bright has supplied nearly 100,000 units of robots for an estimated 40 GW projects worldwide, covering more than 195 solar projects.

Langfang Sol-Bright New Energy emerged as one of the top five robotic solar module cleaning equipment suppliers to the Indian solar market in 2024, according to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025 report. The company held an 18% market share.

According to industry experts, robotic cleaning of solar modules is six times more cost-effective than traditional methods.

A.P. Moller Capital, an institutional fund manager, has announced its first renewable energy investment in India, being made through a newly established joint venture with Rays Power Infra, a solar engineering, procurement, and construction company.

In April this year, Rays Power Infra emerged as one of the winners of the Assam Power Distribution Company’s engineering, procurement, and construction auction to set up 250 MW of solar power projects in Karbi Anglong, Assam.
