SJVN Green Energy (SGEL) has floated a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of 300 MW solar projects in Punjab.

The package comprises three projects totaling 300 MW, split into 200 MW under PSPCL ET-4 and 100 MW under PSPCL ET-2. Project-1 is for 70 MW, where the contractor must procure the modules independently, while Project-2 (130 MW) and Project-3 (100 MW) will involve SGEL supplying the modules free of cost, with contractors responsible for handling and transportation.

Bids must be submitted by December 16, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit ranging from ₹56.7 million (~$639,460) to ₹206.7 million (~$2.32 million), based on project combinations, and a tender document fee of ₹5,000 (~$56.39) plus 18% GST.

SGEL's 300 MW Solar EPC Tender: Details of Bid Security Amount and Project Value

The scope of work includes right-of-way acquisition, detailed engineering, procurement, testing, construction, commissioning, power evacuation infrastructure, and securing grid connectivity. The projects can be located anywhere in Punjab, with land procurement responsibilities, either through purchase or a 28-year lease.

The operations and maintenance period is for three years from the commercial operation date. Bid validity has been set at 180 days from the last submission date.

Bidders must have executed a cumulative solar EPC capacity of 30 MW, including one project of 10 MW operating for at least three months. The minimum executed project value ranges from ₹850.4 million (~$9.54 million) to ₹3.10 billion (~$34.77 million), depending on the project combinations.

Bidders must also have executed at least one 33 kV or higher electrical substation that has been operating successfully for 6 months.

The minimum annual average turnover of the bidders should be in the range of ₹850.4 million (~$9.59 million) to ₹3.10 billion (~$34.96 million).

For Project-1, the modules must comply with MNRE’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

In September this year, SJVN Green Energy invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 733 MW solar projects in Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 program.
