SJVN Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids to commission two grid-connected solar power projects with a combined capacity of 120 MW for Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL).

The first project in Dhubri will have a capacity of 70 MW and the second one in Sonepur will be of 50 MW capacity.

The selected developers must oversee the projects’ operation and maintenance for three years.

The last day to submit the bids is November 3, 2023. Bids will be opened the same day.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹85 million (~$1.02 million) for the 70 MW project and ₹63.5 million (~$763,275) for the 50 MW project.

Bidders must have developed, designed, erected, commissioned, or supervised engineering, procurement, and construction activities for grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 30 MW or higher. At least one project must have 10 MW or higher capacity and be in operation for at least three months before the bid opening date.

Alternatively, bidders must have experience executing an industrial project in power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry, with a minimum value of ₹1.27 billion (~$15.3 million) for a single project if bidding for the 70 MW project, ₹950 million (~$11.4 million), if bidding for the 50 MW project, and ₹2.23 billion (~$26.8 million) if bidding for both. The reference project should have been in operation for at least six months before the bid opening.

Bidders must have experience executing at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level that includes equipment such as 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer and has been successfully operating for at least one year before the bid opening.

They should have an average annual net worth of ₹1.27 billion (~$15.3 million) if bidding for the 70 MW project, ₹950 million (~$11.4 million) if bidding for the 50 MW projects, and ₹2.23 billion (~$26.8 million) if bidding for both.

Their net worth must be positive during immediately preceding financial year and should also be positive in two out of three preceding financial years.

SJVN has mandated the use of domestically manufactured modules listed on the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

In August, SJVN Green Energy won the contract to develop three solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 320 MW from APDCL. The estimated cost of the projects is ₹19 billion (~$229.87 million).
