SJVN Green Invites Bids for 100 MW Solar Project in Gujarat

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids to commission a 100 MW grid-connected solar power project in Goliwada, Gujarat.

The selected developer must complete the project within 465 days and provide three years of comprehensive operation and maintenance services.

The last day to submit bids is January 24, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The cost of the bidding document is ₹10,000 (~$120). Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹18.3 million (~$221,182).

Bidders should have prior experience in commissioning balance of system for at least 30 MW of grid-connected solar projects.

Additionally, at least one of these projects must have a capacity of 10 MW or more and be in operation for a minimum of three months before submitting the bid.

Bidders can also participate if they have previously completed a solar project with a total installed capacity of at least 30 MW. At least one reference project must be of 10 MW capacity or more and be in operation for at least three months.

Companies that have completed an industrial project involving power, steel, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, or coal with a value of approximately ₹520 million (~$6.28 million) and have been in operation for the past six months are eligible to submit bids.

However, they should also have experience operating an electrical substation with a voltage level of 33 kV or higher, including equipment such as 33 kV or higher voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers. The project must be functioning effectively in the past six months.

Bidders must have an annual average turnover of ₹520 million (~$6.28 million) in the last three financial years and a working capital of at least ₹250 million (~$3.02 million).

They should also have a positive net worth in the last financial year and two of the previous three financial years.

SJVN Green Energy had invited bids to commission a 125 MW grid-connected solar power project in Jamui, Bihar.

SJVN Green Energy was one of the winners in the auction conducted by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to procure 500 MW of power on a long-term basis from Phase IX of grid-connected intrastate solar projects. SJVN Green Energy won 200 MW by quoting a price of ₹2.95 (~$0.036)/kWh.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, SJVN Green has so far floated tenders for 1.6 GW of solar projects.
