Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) contract, including insurance for five years, for a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project at Badi Sid in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan.

The last date to submit the bids is December 5, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit ₹1.21 million (~$14,618) as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount equivalent to 3% of the total contract value as the performance bank guarantee.

To be eligible, bidders must have experience as contractors or sub-contractors in O&M of grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects including services and spares for cumulative capacity not less than 5 MW in the last seven years. The project must be in operation for at least 12 months before the last date of bid submission.

Also, out of the above-mentioned capacity, at least two grid-connected solar projects must have an individual capacity of 1 MW or above in the last seven years.

The bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of at least ₹24.1 million (~$291,167) during the last three financial years and a positive net worth in the last financial year.

Additionally, the bidder should have a working capital of at least ₹3.017 million (~$36,450) as of the last day of the previous financial year. If the working capital is inadequate, the bidder can supplement this with a letter from the bidder’s bank, having a net worth not less than ₹5 billion (~$60.41 million), and confirming the availability of the line of credit for at least ₹3.017 million (~$$36,450) to meet the working capital requirement of the project.

In July last year, SECI issued an O&M tender for 1 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
