SECI Invites Bids for Operation and Maintenance of 10 MW Solar Project

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of a 10 MW ground-mounted solar power project in Badi Sid, Rajasthan, for five years.

The last date to submit bids is August 5, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹527,000 (~$6,133.44) and contract performance security amounting to 5% of the contract value.

They must submit a tender processing fee of ₹25,000 (~$290.96).

Only micro and small enterprise vendors registered under the National Small Industries Corporation/Udyog Aadhaar or the District Industries Centre are exempt from paying the tender processing fee.

The defect liability period will be for one year.

The scope of work includes the O&M of the project, as well as providing insurance coverage for five years. It also covers performance demonstration, storage of all spare parts, consumables, and repairs/replacements of defective equipment.

It also entails arranging tools, tackles, logistics, test kits, manpower, and experts required for the operation of the solar power project.

The scope of work also covers vegetation removal, civil works, and painting of metal surfaces.

Successful bidders must ensure the availability of all equipment for more than 98% of the time. They must also ensure that forecasting generation is done for scheduling power with the state load dispatch centre.

The modules must be cleaned at least thrice a month.

Bidders must ensure a minimum guaranteed power generation of 21%.

Bidders must have experience in the operation and maintenance of grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects for a minimum cumulative capacity of 5 MW as a contractor/subcontractor in the last seven years. The projects must have been operational for at least 12 months.

Additionally, they must have experience in operating and maintaining at least two grid-connected ground-mounted solar power projects with an individual capacity of at least 1 MW as a contractor/subcontractor within the last seven years. The projects must have been operational for at least 12 months.

Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹21.08 million (~$245,337) in the last three financial years.

Successful bidders must have a positive net worth and a working capital of ₹2.6 million (~$30,259.8).

In July 2024, SECI had invited bids to develop a 7.5 MW solar power project in Badi Sid, Rajasthan.
