Railways Invite Bids for 1.1 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Gujarat

Vadodara Division of Western Railway in Gujarat has invited bids to install 1.151 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at its stations and other locations.

The work should be completed within 12 months of receiving the work order.

The advertised value of the project is estimated to be ₹57.71 million (~$694,211).

The last day to submit the bids is February 12, 2024. Bids will be opened the same day.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹438,600 (~$5,277).

The scope of work includes supplying, installing, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop solar systems with mono crystalline panels, inverters, MS hot-dipped galvanized structures, power conditioning units, junction boxes, AC and DC distribution boards, armored power and control cables, remote data monitoring systems, and net metering.

Bidders should have completed three similar works, each costing at least 30% of advertised value, or two similar works, each costing at least 40% of advertised value, or one similar work costing not less than 60% of advertised value during the last seven years.

Similar works can include commissioning, maintaining, and repairing solar modules, solar water heaters, solar lighting systems, or solar power packs for any central or state government department or public sector undertakings.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of ₹57.71 million (~$694,340) from the previous three financial years.

Recently, Sonpur Division of East Central Railway invited bids for state-wise empanelment of agencies to implement 1.24 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at its electric loco shed in Barauni Junction through public-private partnership and on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis.

Earlier, Eastern Railway invited bids to install a 1.125 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power project without battery backup at its Howrah Division in West Bengal.
