Pace Digitek has won Karnataka Renewable Energy Development’s (KREDL) auction to set up a 250 MW solar project with a 250 MW/1,100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Ryapte village in Tumkur district.
Pace Digitek has won the project at a tariff of ₹5.51 (~$0.06)/kWh.
The contract value is ₹17.75 billion (~$195.89 million).
The tender was floated in May 2025.
The project will supply peak power and optimize grid utilization at the Pavagada Solar Park.
Apart from installing the solar and BESS projects, the scope of work includes obtaining land for the projects on lease and connecting the solar project and to the Karnataka Solar Power Development Corporation’s pooling substation 6. The connectivity will extend from the substation to Power Grid Corporation of India’s 400/220 kV Tumkur substation (Pavagada).
KREDL will provide the land parcels for the project on lease at Annadanapura and Reddivarahalli villages of Pavagada taluk, Tumkur district.
The scope of work also includes providing the interstate transmission system for the project. Pace Digitek must obtain connectivity for interconnection with the 220 kV side of the KSPDCL substation.
The BESS must dispatch the energy as scheduled by the state load dispatch center.
The project will be completed within 18 months of signing the PPA.
The project must use modules and cells from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers List-I and List-II. The solar modules must be warranted to deliver at least 90% of the peak output wattage at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
Pace Digitek must ensure a capacity utilization factor of at least 19%.
Only commercially established and operational technologies must be used in the project to minimize technology risk and achieve a timely power supply.
In January 2026, Pace Digitek secured an engineering, procurement, and construction order valued at ₹3.76 billion (~$45.3 million) from Bondada Engineering to provide balance-of-system works for its 300 MW solar project.
Last year, Lineage Power, a material subsidiary of Pace Digitek, received an order worth ₹1.9 billion (~$22.33 million) from Larsen & Toubro to supply 275,825 kWh of BESS-integrated LiFePO4 liquid-cooling containers for the Bihar State Power Generation Company in Kajra, Lakhisarai district.
