NVVN Issues Tender for 2.1 MW Rooftop Solar Projects at Three AIIMS Sites

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has invited bids to develop 2.115 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Deoghar, Jharkhand; Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh; and Patna, Bihar.
The total capacity of 2.115 MW will be installed across three sites: 897 kW at AIIMS Deoghar, 858 kW at AIIMS Gorakhpur, and 360 kW at AIIMS Patna.
The scope of work includes the design, engineering, installation, and commissioning of the project, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for 10 years. The contractor will also be responsible for obtaining all permits, approvals, and licenses, including net metering.
The last date to submit bids is March 17, 2026. Bids will be opened the following day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹1 million (~$10,996). Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee equal to 10% of the contract value.
The projects must be completed within 240 days of the contract award date.
Only Class I and Class II local suppliers are eligible to bid in this tender. To be classified as a Class I local supplier, the local content should be at least 50%. For Class II local suppliers, the local content should be at least 20%.
Successful bidders must use solar modules from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I, and solar cells used must be from the ALMM List-II, as per the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s orders and amendments issued from time to time.
Recently, NVVN issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 3 MW rooftop solar project at Bank Note Press in Dewas, Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier this year, NVVN floated a tender to set up 1.25 MW of rooftop solar projects across multiple facilities of Bharat Earth Movers in Karnataka and Kerala.
