NTPC Tenders 1.5 MW of Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar at its Kudgi Stage-I Premises in Karnataka

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has tendered 1.5 MW of rooftop solar to be developed at the NTPC Kudgi Stage-I premises. The project will be awarded through a domestic competitive bidding and the last date of bid submission is May 25, 2017.

This is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract and the project will be developed under NTPC’s self-owned projects program, stated an NTPC official.

The scope of work includes, design, engineering, manufacturing, inspection, supply, transportation, storage, insurance, civil work, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the grid-connected rooftop solar project for one year.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Project Tracker, in October 2016, the NTPC had tendered a 3.5 MW solar wind hybrid power project for its Kudgi premises in Karnataka.
