NTPC has invited bids for a solar photovoltaic module package for the 735 MW (3*245MW) Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan.

The scope of work includes manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, and transportation to the Nokh project site, including inland transit insurance of crystalline bifacial solar photovoltaic modules with a minimum of 530W and a maximum 560W of nominal rating. The modules must conform to Domestic Content Requirement (DCR).

NTPC will finance the package through its resources.

The last date for submitting the bids is July 28, 2022. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The bidders must submit a document fee of ₹22,500 (~$284).

The package will be allotted to successful bidders in four categories with different module capacities. For bidders submitting bids for a 152 MW module capacity, the bid security amount is ₹50 million (~$630,369); for a module capacity of 304 MW (152 MW*2), the bid security amount is ₹100 million (~$1.26 million); for 456 MW (152 MW*3) and 608 (152 MW*4) module capacities, bidders must submit ₹200 million (~$2.52 million).

Nokh Solar Project Module Supply tender

Only ‘Class-I local suppliers’ are eligible to apply for the tender.

Bidders must have manufactured and supplied solar PV modules of 40 MW or above cumulative capacity, out of which at least one such supply order should be for a 10 MW project or above capacity, before the bid opening date.

Alternatively, they must be a group or holding or subsidiary company of the module manufacturer meeting the above requirements.

The average annual turnover of the bidders should not be less than ₹1.28 billion (~$16.14 million) during the past three financial years. Their net worth on the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of their paid-up share capital.

Earlier this year, Larsen & Turbo, Amara Raja Group, and Jakson Group were declared the winners in NTPC’s auction for a balance of systems (BoS) package for the 735 MW (245 MW*3) Nokh solar project. The scope of work included designing, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing, transporting, unloading, storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar projects, excluding the supply of solar modules.
