NTPC Subsidiary Invites Bids for 7 MW Rooftop Solar Systems in Odisha

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has invited bids to install 7,000 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems at National Aluminium Company’s Angul and Damanjodi facilities in Odisha.
The last day to submit the bids is February 2, 2026. Bids will be opened on the next day.
Bidders must submit a bid security amount of ₹5 million (~$55,471).
The selected bidder must submit a contract performance guarantee amount equivalent to 10% of the contract value within 28 days of receiving the award notification.
It must also submit an operations and maintenance (O&M) performance guarantee amount equivalent to 10% of the O&M contract price.
The systems must be installed within nine months of receiving the work order.
The selected installer must handle the system’s O&M duties for five years.
Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and gather all necessary information for installing the solar systems before submitting bids.
Only bidders enlisted by NVVN and Class-I and Class-II Local suppliers are eligible to participate in the tender.
The local content requirement for categorizing a bidder as a ‘Class-I local supplier’ is 50%. For a ‘Class-II local supplier,’ the ‘local content’ requirement is 20%.
Bidders should have experience with at least one similar project valued at ₹124.7 million (~$1.38 million) in the last 10 years.
Their average annual turnover over the past three financial years should be at least ₹124.7 million (~$1.38 million).
Bidders must have have minimum positive working capital of ₹ 103.9 million (~$1.15 million) during the last financial year.
The rooftop solar systems must have a minimum capacity utilization factor of 17%.
In April last year, NVVN invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 6 MW (2×3 MW) ground-mounted solar power project for Cement Corporation of India at its Tandur factory in Telangana.
