NTPC Renewable Energy has invited bids to supply a balance of system (BoS) package for a 600 MW interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
Bids must be submitted by June 26, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must submit ₹22,500 (~$263) as a bid document fee.
Bidders should have executed or facilitated the arrangement of land and micro-siting of wind turbines for projects with a total capacity of at least 40 MW, including at least one wind project of 10 MW or more.
Alternatively, they should have arranged land for grid-connected solar projects, solar parks, wind projects, wind parks, or a combination of these, with a cumulative capacity of at least 100 MW, including at least one project or park with a minimum capacity of 50 MW.
Another route to qualification is being a developer of grid-connected wind power projects with a total installed capacity of at least 40 MW, which must include at least one project of 10 MW or more located at a single site. The reference wind project must have been operational for at least six months before the techno-commercial bid opening.
Bidders can qualify if they have executed, within the last ten years, an industrial project as a developer or EPC contractor in sectors such as power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilizers, cement, or other process industries, provided the reference project has been operational for at least six months.
For projects with a quoted capacity between 50 MW and 300 MW, the average annual turnover of the bidder must be at least ₹694 million (~$8.12 million). For projects exceeding 300 MW, the required turnover is ₹2.31 million (~$27,014)/MW.
In addition to the above, bidders must have executed at least one electrical substation project of 33 kV or higher voltage level. This must include components such as circuit breakers and power transformers with a minimum voltage rating of 33 kV. The substation must have been operational for a minimum of six months before the techno-commercial bid opening. It must have been executed either as a developer or as an EPC contractor.
Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of ₹694 million (~$8.12 million) for a quoted capacity between 50 MW to 300 MW and ₹2.31 million (~$27,014)/MW for more than 300 MW in the last three financial years.
They should have a positive net worth as of the last day of the preceding financial year.
In March, NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids to supply the BoS package for a 900 MW grid-connected solar project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan.
Earlier, NTPC REL invited bids for a Bos package for an ISTS-connected 900 MW wind energy project at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.
