NTPC REL Invites Bids for 1,200 MW Solar Module Supply in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has invited bids to supply solar modules for its upcoming 1,200 MW capacity solar projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.
Bids must be submitted by August 28, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must submit the following earnest money deposit (EMD) amounts per the capacity block they are applying for:
- ₹100 million (~$1.16 million) for 393.9 MWp for one block
- ₹200 million (~$2.29 million) for 787.8 MWp for two blocks
- ₹200 million (~$2.29 million) for 1,181.7 MWp for three blocks
- ₹200 million (~$2.29 million) for 1,575.6 MWp for all four blocks
They must also submit a document fee of ₹22,500 (~$261.63).
The scope of work includes the manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of the bifacial crystalline silicon modules with a minimum nominal power rating of 570 Wp to the Khavda site.
Bidders must have supplied or manufactured at least 200 MW of solar modules or cells within any 12 consecutive months during the last five years. At least one of these orders must have been for 50 MW or higher.
Only modules compliant with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers List-I must be used.
Group or subsidiary companies can apply for the tender through a joint undertaking.
Bidders must have an annual manufacturing capacity of at least 1.67 times the quoted capacity.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover equal to the total quoted capacity in MW x ₹2.47 million (~$28,720.93) in the past three years. Their net worth must equal at least the paid-up share capital, calculated individually or on a consolidated basis with holding or subsidiary companies.
Recently, NTPC REL invited bids for the supply of crystalline bifacial modules for its upcoming solar projects in Lalitpur and Chitrakoot districts of Uttar Pradesh with a total capacity of 1,000 MW.
In April this year, NTPC REL invited bids to set up a 2 MW green hydrogen generation system/electrolyzer for a green hydrogen mobility project at Sipat, Chhattisgarh.
