NTPC Floats O&M Tender for 1.16 MW of Rooftop Solar Projects in Chhattisgarh

NTPC has invited bids for the annual maintenance contract of 1.16 MW of rooftop solar projects at the Lara Super Thermal Power Station in the Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh.

The rooftop solar systems consist of 3,584 solar modules, each of 325 W rating, associated module mounting structures and water washing systems, inverters, AC distribution panels, 16 isolation transformers-dry type, metering panels, DC and AC cabling, protection systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system.

The scope of work includes maintenance of all equipment associated with 1.1648 MW capacity rooftop solar systems installed at NTPC Lara.

The last date to submit the bids is July 15, 2022. Bids will be opened the following day.

The contract will be valid for one year.

Bidders will not be required to submit any earnest money deposit.

The contractor will have to provide an amount equivalent to 10% of the contract value as a security deposit.

Only ‘Class-I local suppliers’ are eligible to participate in this tender. A ‘Class-I local supplier’ means a supplier or a service provider whose goods, services, or works offered for procurement, have local content equal to or more than 50%.

The successful bidder should enter into a contract with the employer within 30 days from the Letter of Award or within such time as may be desired by the employer.

Preference will be given to micro and small enterprises (MSEs). If the L1 bidder is not an MSE and the MSE seller has quoted the price within L1+ 15% of the margin, such a seller will be allowed to match the L-1 price, and the contract will be awarded for 25% of the total quantity.

If the contractor fails to complete the work on or before the scheduled completion date, liquidated damages at 0.5% per week of the contract value of work for every week of delay, subject to a maximum of 5% of the contract value, will apply.

In May this year, NTPC invited bids for a biennial operation and maintenance contract for the 10 MW solar power project at Ramagundam, Telangana.

Earlier, NTPC had issued a notice inviting tender from contractors for the operation and maintenance of a 10 MW solar project at its Talcher Super Thermal Power Station in Kaniha, Odisha, for three years.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, NTPC has floated O&M tenders for 930 MW of solar power projects.
