NTPC has invited bids for the comprehensive operations and maintenance (O&M) of a 92 MW floating solar project at NTPC Kayamkulam, Kerala, for three years, and a 5 MW ground-mounted solar system at Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, for two years and nine months.

Bids must be submitted by August 18, 2024. Bids will be opened on August 20.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹2 million (~$23,019) and a tender fee of ₹9,293 (~$107).

The scope of work includes daily monitoring of string outages, restoring inverter trips, attending breakdowns and tripping incidents, and restoring the system in the shortest possible time. All high-tension and equipment tripping must be investigated, with root cause analysis submitted to NTPC.

Selected bidders must man the control room on a round-the-clock basis. The projects’ supervisory control and data acquisition will be the primary tool to monitor the operating status of various equipment.

Bidders must have installed and commissioned a grid-connected solar project of a minimum 20 MW capacity during the preceding seven years as on the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

Bidders must have also continuously conducted the operation and maintenance of a grid-connected solar project of a minimum 20 MW capacity for at least one year during the preceding seven years.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹82.9 million (~$954,857) in the last three financial years. They must have a net worth of at least 100% of their paid-up share capital.

Recently, NTPC Green invited bids for the O&M of a 160 MW solar project at Jetstar, Rajasthan, for two months.

In May this year, NTPC invited bids for two years of comprehensive O&M of 56.3 MW solar power projects at Kawas in Surat, Gujarat.
