The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has further postponed the second edition of the Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet & Expo, RE-INVEST 2018.

The event was to be held at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, National Capital Region of Delhi.

The ministry took to Twitter to inform that the meet, which was supposed to be held between 19-21 April 2018 has been indefinitely postponed and will now be held in the third quarter (Q3) of 2018. The MNRE has not specified any date for the event as of now, saying that the postponement comes due to logistical issues.

This is the second time the event has been postponed. As reported previously by Mercom, it was initially scheduled to be held between December 7-9, 2017 but was later shifted to April 19-21, 2018.

According to a government release from last year, the event was expected to be attended by over 600 global investors, 10,000 domestic and international delegates, and ministerial participation from over a hundred countries.

RE-INVEST 2017 was also expected to be a platform for reviewing the commitments made in RE-INVEST 2015 by industry, banks, manufacturers etc.
