Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 1 MW solar power project at Air Force Station in Gwalior.

The last date to submit the bids is February 13, 2026. Bids will be opened on February 20.

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹13,980 (~$152.5).

Successful bidders must submit a performance security amount equivalent to 5% of the contract sum within 28 days of the intimation of the letter of acceptance.

The estimated cost of the project is ₹699,000 (~$7,625), and the duration is 330 days.

Bidders should be enlisted with MES in Class ‘E’ and above category, subject to satisfactory remarks on performance with respect to works in hand, as reflected in the workload return or any other report circulated by the competent engineer authority.

The electric supply required for the work, up to a maximum of 5 KW single phase/three phase, should be made available by the MES at the incoming terminal of the main switch marked on the site plan.

The main switch and kWh meters to register the electric energy supplied should be provided and installed by the MES. The contractor should provide all necessary cables and fittings from the main switch to ensure a proper and suitable electrical supply for the execution of the work.

Last year, MES invited bids to install 1,100 kW rooftop solar systems atop buildings at the Jaipur Military Station. The project’s estimated cost was ₹49 million (~$578,057). The work is estimated to be completed within 180 days of the site’s handover.

Earlier, MES, Eastern Command, Shillong Zone, had invited bids to install rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 1,100 kW at Rangapahar Military Station in Nagaland.
