Military Engineer Services Floats Maintenance Tender for 1 MW Solar Project

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids for the repair and maintenance of a 1 MW solar power project at Bambolim, Goa, for a period of 12 months.
The last date to submit bids is July 4, 2026.
The estimated cost of the project is ₹4.5 million (~$47,407).
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹90,000 (~$948).
Successful bidders must furnish a performance security deposit equivalent to 5% of the contract value within 28 days of the receipt of the letter of acceptance.
They must submit a tender fee of ₹500 (~$5).
Bidders enlisted with MES must be Class D and above and must have satisfactory performance records.
Bidders not enlisted with MES must have completed, within the last five years, either three works costing at least ₹750,000 (~$7,901) each, two works costing at least ₹1 million (~$10,535) each, or one work costing at least ₹2 million (~$21,070) for MES, the central or state government, or a public sector undertaking.
They must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹2.5 million (~$26,337) over the last two consecutive financial years.
Bidders must also provide solvency certification of up to ₹1 million (~$10,535) or financial soundness for engagement up to ₹2.5 million (~$26,337), along with a working capital certificate of at least ₹500,000 (~$5,267).
Recently, MES invited bids for the comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of 4 MW and 2 MW solar projects at the Army area in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
In May 2026, it also floated a tender for the comprehensive O&M of a 5 MW solar project at Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, for 10 years.
Earlier in February, MES invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 3 MW solar power project at the Panagarh Military Station in West Bengal. The scope of work included restoration and maintenance of the solar project, including module reinstallation, inverter rehabilitation, cabling, earthing restoration, and lightning protection.
