Mercom India’s third “C&I Clean Energy Meet” series returns to Mumbai on May 30, 2024, when renewable industry stakeholders come together to discuss issues surrounding commercial and industrial businesses transitioning to clean energy.

The event will be held at Hotel Ramada in Navi Mumbai. The agenda for the event can be viewed here.

Through the event, Mercom India aims to facilitate connections between clean energy solution providers and consumers to discuss power requirements, cost benefits, challenges, opportunities, and solutions.

Mumbai, India’s financial capital and economic powerhouse, hosts some of the nation’s largest corporations along with numerous small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The city is home to industries spread across sectors.

Businesses adopting solar energy and other renewable energy sources has become imperative to cut electricity costs and make their operations sustainable.

For instance, rooftop solar systems are a one-time investment that offers significant benefits and positively impacts business operations.

C&I entities, large institutions, and residential apartment buildings seek clean energy at a lower cost than grid power tariffs. Rooftop solar, being cost-effective and environmentally friendly, presents an attractive option to reduce operating expenses over the long term.

Registration for the event begins at 9:30 AM, followed by the inaugural session, which will have KR Gopi, President, and Pradeep Garg,  General Secretary at TTC-MIDC Industries Association, on the panel.

The first session is titled “Rooftop Solar – Harnessing the Green Route to Reducing Electricity Bills.” The speakers for this session include Shantanu Sirsath, CTO at Growatt; and Harshit Jayaswal, DGM of Business Development at Amplus Solar.

The second session of the day, scheduled for noon, will focus on “Clean Power Purchase—Switching to Renewable Energy and Optimizing Savings.” The speakers for this session are KM Wadhera, COO of Ampyr Energy; Vijay Ghatole, Head of DG Business at Jinko; Amit Kumar, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Altilium; and Manish Relan, Assistant Vice President of Sales at Swelect Energy.

Post lunch, the event will continue with a panel discussion on “Attractive Financing Options – Easy and Affordable Green Loans.” The speakers for this session are Gopinath D, DGM at SIDBI; Vikas Agarwal, Co-founder and CBO of Credit Fair; and Vikesh Agrawal, Co-Founder and COO at Aerem.

Harshit Jayaswal from Amplus Solar will present a case study on “Ground Mount Solar Installations – Generating Power, Consuming Efficiently, and Achieving Savings.”

All the speakers will be available to answer questions following the discussions.

The event will benefit C&I consumers with large power needs, aiming to reduce their power costs while adopting green energy, clean energy solution providers targeting C&I consumers and financial institutions.

Manufacturers, lenders, investors, facility and plant managers, C-level executives of C&I businesses, engineers, and procurement managers will find the event helpful.

The meet will discuss optimal solutions for purchasing low-cost, reliable, clean power, understand India’s evolving energy market, and gain insights from industry leaders and experts on the energy transition.
