Mercom India is back with the second edition of its clean energy meet series, “C&I Clean Energy Meet 2023,” which provides a unique platform for the country’s commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers to interact with renewable energy experts and understand the benefits of including renewable sources in their energy mix.

This year’s first event will be held in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on March 17. The state, which regularly features as one of the most progressive states in solar open access installations, provides an apt location for the event.

The event is hosted in partnership with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI). FKCCI is an apex organization for industry, trade, and service sectors in Karnataka and has been in operation for over a century. The Chamber has about 3,000 direct members and more than 250,000 indirect members from all trade, commerce, and industry sectors, spread over Karnataka, including 26 District Chambers of Commerce and 135 Trade Industry Associations.

The event aims to facilitate face-to-face interactions between industry experts, including developers of open-access renewable projects, rooftop solar, and executives of financial institutions providing loans to C&I consumers interested in adopting renewable energy.

As companies in India and around the world prioritize sustainable practices in their operations, the C&I segment too has joined the bandwagon and has been taking measures to meet Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals across their supply chains.

Mercom’s Clean Energy Meet is designed to assist C&I consumers in understanding the transition process, exploring the available options, and determining the duration in which they can obtain a return on investment through energy savings.

Industry experts participating in the inaugural session will be Mahantesh Bilagi, MD at BESCOM; B.V. Gopal Reddy, President of FKCCI; Ramesh Shivanna, Chairman of Energy Committee FKCCI, and Anand Jain, CEO at Aerem.

The event will have in-depth discussions on purchasing clean power, reducing energy costs, and innovative financing solutions.

The Meet will include case studies of projects demonstrating the benefits of adopting solar energy in cutting energy costs and generating profits over time.

The event will also provide networking breaks, providing C&I consumers with opportunities to engage with solar industry experts.

Interested entities can register for the event by sending an email to events@mercomindia.com.
